I haven't ate at this restaurant for awhile, so I decided to order delivery from Amazon.
They messed up my order on Que Viet side, big time.
I am pretty specific as I'm a very picky eater of what I wanted and how I liked it.
I had asked for extra sauce for my egg rolls and only got less than a normal amount.
I ordered an paid for beef with vegetables, they ONLY gave me a lunch size special, but if that was the case, it negated the need to order fried rice and the egg rolls, as an egg roll comes with the lunch special and when I say I got a nominal amount of beef with vegetables even for a lunch size portion, it was very small.
The shrimp fried rice looked ok, but the fact they messed up my egg rolls and my entree with the beef and vegetables, made me so upset, that I couldn't eat it, as I don't like fried rice by itself, that's WHY I ordered beef w/vegetables (not the lunch time size) so I could get a few meals out of it.
Amazon did credit me for the beef with vegetables and egg rolls.
And while I don't mind spending for the convenience of a delivery charge and tip, I basically even with being credited for that spent about almost $20 dollars alone for food that will be hard for me to eat, as I don't like fried rice by itself, which is why I ordered the beef with vegetable ENTREE not the lunch special. I ordered quite a bit of food, but only getting messed up egg rolls (can't eat them dry) can't eat white rice (don't like it) and very little beef with vegetables, is aggravating and expensive, as I hoped had I got the order the way I ordered it, to get several meals from a $32 food order and the $12 in fees and tip which would've been worth the expense, had my order been executed properly from Que Viet's side.
But because the service in the restaurant in both locations (NE and Brooklyn Center), is so hit or miss and they don't care to get a delivery order right, won't ever order takeout, delivery or eat in there again.
It's too bad though, they have good food but it's not worth the aggravation to even try them again, because they historically even though when I used to eat at the restaurants not mess up an order on site, if they did on occasion mess it up, they wouldn't make it right,...
Read moreFOOD POISONING! This restaurant constantly takes off reviews on Google so people can’t see the truth . Very sad to say service was bad. I threw up instantly after the first few bites. Had to rush out of the restaurant because the smell and food tasted disgusting. Food was even worse and the smell… ‘‘twas horrible. I ordered their Beef pho and as a person who eats a lot of Pho, this one was the worst one yet. It smells like oily beef with no pho seasoning just straight up oil and water. It also tasted like Beef oil mixed with water. I asked for napkins and never received it. They served all the yipipo and couldn’t even give me a straw or napkin. The old lady working there it was very rude. spoke to me with attitude and threw the menu on the table. It was a horrible experience overall and I’m so sad I wasted $12 on two bites of nasty unseasoned Pho. Please save your money and go elsewhere. Notice how all the reviews and stars are from people who don’t normally eat Asian food. If you are a real food critic and actually want something worth your money go somewhere else. Otherwise if you’re a normal American white person then sure, this place might be the place for you to...
Read moreHearing this was the sister restaurant to Em Que Viet, I had high expectations. I am not sure if this is true or not, but they had the same egg rolls, so I assume they're related in some way.
The location is super convenient for me, but the offerings are far inferior to Em Que Viet. In a mostly empty restaurant, it took us 15+ minutes for a server to come take our order. I had to go to the front and ask for someone to come by. As soon as she did, she just asked if we wanted egg rolls. They must have these premade, as they came QUICK and were just warmer than warm.
Not only was the service poor, but the restaurant felt much dirtier than Em Que Viet. As a Vietnamese man, poor service and an unclean environment can often indicate really good food, but that wasn't the case here. I ordered a shrimp dish and my cousins got the bun thit nuoung, which was solid. I also asked for a side of fried rice, but was served white rice and they tried to charge me for the fried rice.
I have no intention of returning. Pho Mai in dinkytown is better if you're...
