My wife and I tried this place for Sunday brunch on the advice of a friend who used to live in Minneapolis. From the moment we walked in the door we were impressed with the atmosphere of a small, quaint bar/restaurant with a mural on one wall. Dominic was our server and is quite possibly one of the best servers we have ever had.....like ever. He was very attentive to us despite the hussle and bustle of the packed place. He gave us recommendations and was very welcoming and warm. During the course of our meal, my wife teared up. Dominic noticed and stopped by with a tissue, a caring look and then gave us some time. When he came back he wanted to make sure we were ok without being nosey. He cared about us and not why my wife teared up. As we were getting ready to leave one of the owners, Heather, was walking by. We stopped her to tell her what a great experience we had and what a gem she had in Dominic. She chatted with us for several minutes and was just as warm and friendly as Dominic. We would HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone!!! The small town feel of coming home was unreal! We will...
Read moreNew review (four stars): the food is awesome but the service is consistently disappointing. Long wait times to be greeted, servers seem too busy and are curt and not particularly attuned to customers. There are two who are better but they often seem to have too many tables to provide good service. We come here often, tip 20%, and have never once been recognized by any staff which is just kind of funny for a “neighborhood” place. How often do we need to come to be remembered?? Lol
Old review (five stars): The Lowbrow has been one of my favorite things to make quarantine weekend nights feel special. The nachos are great, and my family loves the burgers. They also have reeeeally good fries, which can sometimes be hard to find! The staff has always been prompt and attentive when we dine in, and they have a smooth take out...
Read moreSo so at best; pretty bad at worst. Decor was blah. Food was blah. Service was blah. Frankly, I can't figure out why the reviews are so good. Maybe it was an off day. My burger was overdone. It was the Sahara Desert, and it was very well done. The fries were borderline burnt and looked like they were overdone. They should not have left the kitchen. The server, an Asian American girl, was without personality and unremarkable. She looked like she was going through the motions. She also committed a serving sin by not writing down our order. Somehow, she got everything right. Do yourself a favor and go to Revival; their burger is worth the price. A Big Mac and fries from McDonald's would have been better and a lot cheaper. The only plus was I wasn't picking up the tab. :(
I...
