It was in the shining, Thursday morning where things had gone horribly wrong. My father had expressed his desire for their famous "Wendy's" chili this fine day. The sun was blazing, promises of warmth and prosperity had seemed apparent in the air. We had arrived at the establishment, seemingly innocent from the outside, but hiding a dark, murky secret in it's depths.
The room was barren, pale sun gleaming through clear windows, shining upon the various furniture scattered across the expanse. Innocent looking enough, I suppose. My father, who's hands were dirtied with grime, had decided to wash them in the bathroom, all whilst the rest of my family examined the menu board for something to pick.
These next words may shock you. Please, do not proceed if you love this particular Wendy's.
The swinging of a door alerted me to the presence of my father, but something was amiss. His head, once dry before, now beaded with sweat, rolling off of his skin. His dark eyes were wide, hands curled deep into his chest. He managed a quick glance behind himself, door swinging shut on itself, and turned to look at us with pure horror.
He had decided to use the bathroom instead of just wash his hands, but, instead changed our decision of this Wendy's for good.
The stalls, on his account, were filthy and unwashed. Stains that seeped into the very plastics and tile itself. He had used a urinal, ignoring the obvious uncleanliness, and instead, had his hopeful sights on some early morning chili.
Until (On his own account), a swarm of flies ascended into the air as he was using the urinal. He had recoiled in shock, partially urinating on the floor at his attempt to escape the grasp of the flies. (Sorry, Wendy's)
My father barely made it out, and we had seen the obvious distress plastered across his face.
We promptly left the site, pretending the only reason we had entered the Wendy's was to go to the bathroom.
Keep in mind, my family specializes in cleaning, and had said to me, this only happens with week(s) of neglect.
So I say to you, dear reviewee, do you dare tread on the unsanitary ground of this St. Cloud Wendy's?
(Yes, this all actually happened, ask my dad, he's scarred for life. All he wanted was...
Read moreWould give zero if I could. Placed an order on the mobile app. They claimed they did not have it sent through. I gave it some time. They said they still didn't have it. I tried to place the order again but kept getting an error. Went in to have it dealt with and the lady at the counter Said she would ring in the order. I read the order to her and showed her my phone to prove the order. I had an offer for a free 10-piece nugget she said she would be able to ring that in on her end. Did not give me my receipt prior to getting my food and said I would get that at the end. Then I got my order. It was missing my Frosty card that I purchased. I went back and informed her she apologized and gave me the card. I then got to my car with my order and noticed I only received a six-piece nugget not a 10 like I ordered. I looked on the receipt and she had rang in a six piece versus the 10. At this point I was frustrated and needed to be on my way but I went through the window and explained what happened. I was told to pull forward and that they would make it right. I was asked to pull forward due to a 3-minute wait on the nuggets. Then the lady I dealt with came outside and stated that I told her a six piece and I told her "no I even showed you my phone.... But if it's not being made at this point just forget it." She said that she didn't say that and would get 4 nuggets to make it a 10 piece. The six nuggets I had originally received were Luke warm and hard. My burger was dry. And by the end of this ordeal the fries that originally looked semi-fresh were cold and soggy.... The only other time I have been to this location we waited at the speaker behind another car for 10 minutes until we all backed out and left despite seeing people and movement in the building. Needless to say I will not be returning but beware for extremely poor service and food that is...
Read moreThe manager was ENTIRELY out of pocket with the employees…Went through the drive through, three cars in front of me and it took 20 minutes from speaker to gone. I was slightly annoyed but I chose to wait. The person at the window had long hair that was NOT pulled back or contained in anyway (huge food service red flag). I didn’t get my second fry that I had ordered so I went back in. The woman that had helped me on drive was very nice and grabbed it for me and is the only reason I’m giving this a two star instead of one. While she was grabbing my fries someone (I’m assuming a manager) was screaming very aggressively asking where another employee had gone. When the drive thru lady said she wasn’t sure because she was working the drive thru alone they continued to yell “why aren’t you keeping track of your employees?”. While this yelling is happening the one person burns himself on the fryer and no one asked him if he was okay while the another employee walked super slowly up to the front with a hand full of stuff. This person behind the wall then yelled at the person on the FOH cash register about where this employee was and no one knew. I finally got my fries and again the drive thru woman was polite with me. For a manager or anyone to speak to another person like that on the floor is outrageous. No one should be spoken to the way that I heard this woman yelling. I’m not sure if she’s just having a bad day or if this person is like this normally but judging by the way the employees reacted it seemed like a normal occurrence. I hope she is reprimanded in someway if this is normal or this place will be ran into the ground from lack...
