Blackwater Coffee & Cafe Minnetonka — Restaurant in Minnetonka

Been here twice now, I was glad to support a local coffee shop, but not anymore. Some of the rudest staff I have had the misfortune of interacting with. I have to work both front of house and back at a busy restaurant, I understand not being happy all the time with people, but I could never imagine being as dead-pan rude to a customer for no reason. Honestly the employees give a stuck-up snobby “better than this job” attitude that is actually quite fitting for Minnetonka, in my opinion. The coffee is fine, I guess, nothing special, the food was actually pretty decent, if only the employees didn’t seemingly try to actively keep me from ordering things I’d actually get food there more often. Service is the major downfall and is what will keep me from going there in the future. Wanted to love it as my parents just moved in Nextdoor. Coffee has no flavor, they told us that their customers like it that way and if you actually want it to taste like coffee you need to pay for an espresso shot?! Why not make regular coffee and if someone wants it weak add water? It seriously did not even taste like coffee. Breakfast sandwich was good. Atmosphere is like an office with 7 of the bigger tables being taken up by people working. There were 3 of us and we had to squeeze into a 2 person table. One lady was doing her nails (gross and I would think against health codes) we saw a couple groups leave because there was no place to sit with all of the office workers taking full tables, I hope they charge rent! Hidden Gem!!! This place is so lovely! It's a little bit of a drive out from the cities, but it's fantastic. Staff here is so lovely and fast! Drinks are even tastier. They have a lot of creative and unique drinks that aren't at most cafes! I would definitely recommend trying something new here. They also serve food and sandwiches! Lobby is super cozy, but fair warning, this place is typically pretty busy. They also don't accept cash, totally fine, but just another thing to be aware about before coming. Bathrooms were super clean and nice! I tried their Strawberry Lemonade Green Tea and it was deeelishhhh. Super good. Same with the mango smoothie!
