Update April 2023 Visit

Met up with a group of friends as a last minute decision. We were able to be seated immediately as a group of 6 - more importantly, we were quickly moved to a new table when another patron was unable to parent her wild children & the wait staff took note. The staff swooped in & asked if we'd like to move to the bar area. Fabulous.

This was the first time we've been in since the remodel. There's tons of seating & plenty of staff. The beer was $4.25, which is definitely reasonable & was adorned with a lime wheel. The hubs and I split a Nachos la Casa order at $14.50. It wasn't inedible - but it certainly wasn't great, or authentic. Topped with fake guacamole (glossy gel kind that has no flavor), cold chicken, a heaping scoop of sour cream - it fell in the bland category. Bad guacamole, salsa, are deal breakers. They've also expanded the menu to have so much on it that it now falls in the "with a menu this big, they must make everything great" category. I'd say scale back the menu and focus on the quality. I do appreciate that the beer in now on tap tho... of course, so are the margaritas (yikes).

Perfect visit! We were greeted and seated immediately by a friendly host. Chips and salsa were delivered moments later. Within a few minutes, drink orders were taken and promptly brought out. At that time, our food order was taken. Smooth and efficient.

$25 for 2 - carne asada tacos, side of beans and iced tea (refilled 3x without asking) / barbacoa tacos, side of beans and draft dos equis 12oz -

Food was perfectly cooked- correctly temp, nicely flavored... meat was tender and juicy. Spectacular service- best I've...

Not professional when faced with allergies. Do not go here if you have any allergies. My friends and I went out to eat last night for my birthday and I ordered American style tacos, but they brought out street style tacos which have onion. I specifically asked for American style due to a severe allergy to onion. I explained to the server that I ordered American style and I cant eat onion. I told him I would need new tacos, as once onion has touched the food, it is contaminated and I cannot eat it. He took the food back and brought it back out almost immediately, very obviously having only scraped the onion off the top. I asked if they were new tacos and he hesitantly said yes, but I immediately found more onion on top and he took it back. He brought it out a third time a minute or two later, claiming to have been extra sure this time but it still came out with a few onions on top and still not even American style.

This server went back to the kitchen twice and brought out the same contaminated food to serve to me, with no regard or consideration to my health as if the whole thing wasn't a big deal. He seemed unable to understand why I wouldn't accept the tacos after they had the onions scraped off despite it being explained to him. On top of that he never once came to fill our waters and seemed to avoid our table after he brought the tacos out a third time. I don't know if he has just never had food safety training or Mi Mexico just doesn't care about food safety and serving allergens to its customers but I was floored with how poorly everything...

Been coming to Mi Mexico for YEARS and never had an issue, we decided to order at 9:30 pm on a Friday evening for a carry out order and I had ordered their 2 orders of their mix n match carne asada tacos (the ones that come with 3 tacos, on corn tortillas, meat, cilantro and onion) and we went to pick up. My husband went in and they gave him 2 tacos not 2 orders. So he asked to order the correct thing.

So he placed the same order I did but in person, we waited an additional 15 minutes and they still managed to screw up the order. No cilantro/onion amd on flour tortillas.

Again, I called and spoke to the lady at the register and asked if they would fix the order and she said "No" at this point, it's 10 minutes to closing and I said we've been waiting for our food for almost an hour, you guys can't fix your mistake? And again she said no its not wrong your boyfriend ordered it. So I said my husband ordered what I ordered the first time and if you would have heard it correctly you wouldn't have messed it up twice.

She refused to fix our order or refund us the money. I asked to speak to the manager and she claimed to be the manager. If this is truly management. We will no longer be going there. Terrible customer experience for the first time, if this is the new management .. they def need...
