Ok, so family-friendly, social, and kinda hidden gem. Always bypass this place coming into town. Decided to visit.
Has a nice atmosphere, bar side, family oriented with a college vibe. Got messy eaters? It ok every table has a roll of paper towels!
Got the 6 inch Taco Grinder (warm), which I almost forgot to take a picture of it. That was damn good with the sauces. Taco Meat is kid friendly and mad like Grandma's. 2 slices one PBR (pickle bacon ranch), and the other was a taco slice. With red grinder (spicy yet mild hot sauce) and white grinder sauce which I would recommend, it is made like a more cheesy less ranch peppercorn style. These are thier two popular choices. Besides the Pizza of month which changes.
You can fold the end of the pizza like a brooklyn. Also had a soft shell chicken taco with cantina-stlyle roasted cliantro salsa. Super juicy tender chicken almost like pulled pork BBQ. Not chewy.
Served straight to you literally right out of the open kitchen!
Sampled the beer here. It purchase from a local brewery Atypical. Got a "London Fog" a golden ale with a vanilla and tea. Smell delicious, slightly bubbly and you can taste what to be actually tea leaves after taste on the tongue.
Too bad I haven't came here sooner! I'll be back to try...
Read moreI give it three stars, which I almost feel bad about. First the good though! They have a cool scene near the college and seem pretty popular. They have a good drink menu and decent prices for the area, so why did I go with a three you may ask? I will be happy to tell you. I have two big complaints! They are called "Spicy Pie" and I think they even have an option for a spicy version of their pizza. Oh cool you think, what a good marketing campaign, the "Spicy Pie" sells spicy pizza, I'll have a slice of that. And then it's not. It's not spicy at all, in fact I couldn't detect a difference... We had a restaurant in town called the "Spicy Pickle" and you may guess where this is going. They had not one spicy pickle in the whole joint, then they went out of business. Cautionary tale right there if ever I heard one. Next, and equally damning, is their cheese, toppings, and sauce inconsistency. I swear on my last three slices of pepperoni pizza they put all the cheese on one, the sauce on the next, and the pepperoni on the last. And the slice of sausage pizza was done perfectly, if not just a SMIDGEN light on sauce. Of course I exaggerated for dramatic effect but I think the image I have drawn of their inconsistent 'za is fair. Thanks for reading!...
Read moreI visited the location in Minot, North Dakota last night (07/31/18) around 9 p.m. everything was fine until there was a mistake made with our order. We were still friendly to the staff about the mix-up but I don't believe the staff could have handled the situation differently. They brought us the wrong pizza and instead of offering us to eat that pizza or maybe while we waited for ours.they offered it to the table next to us to take it. Then when we did receive our order correctly, the associate put it on the table and told us "Sorry about the wait, we made it a little crunchy for you." This was an understatement the middle of the pizza was burnt and the rest over cooked. Rather than waiting longer for a new pizza me and my friend ate and went home disappointed. It wasn't my first time eating there I have never been disappointed to the point I was last night and I was introducing my friend to the awesome pizza you guys make. I just think the situation was handled in a poor matter is all. Thank you for you time...
