Our son LOVES going to the Discovery Center! They have three floors of fun! The floor you enter on is actually the second floor (main floor). It has some of the “basic” discovery things you can find including an indoor playground, market, camp ground, and more. The bottom floor is mostly water play. The top floor is our favorite! There is a big Bite Light wall, a magnetic ball drop, a crane game, party rooms, and so so so much more. I love that they have a place in the front to put your jackets or bags. We like it so much that we decided to buy a year pass after our very first visit.

Science and exploration have never been this fun! My daughter and I absolutely loved our time at the Magic City Discovery Center. Every corner is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and joy. It’s the perfect mix of learning and play—she was engaged the entire time, and honestly, so was I! We laughed, explored, and discovered together, making it one of our favorite stops in Minot. ✨ Highly recommended for families—this place turns science into pure fun!

Incredible! Loved by my older kids (10 and 13)—we had an absolute blast (though obviously tons to do for younger kids). We loved the water play (similar to the Boston Children’s museum!) in the basement as well as the SparkLab!, oil rig/B52 climbing area, “grain elevator” and the lights/sounds area. We’ve been to several Children’s museums all over the country and this one is as good or better than those in major cities! It’s a true gem and not to missed!

We were very excited to visit the Discovery Center and were very excited when they opened—we visited for the first time today and it was alright. Quite a few of the bigger attractions were out of order so it felt like most of what was there were bigger versions of toys we had at home. Don’t get me wrong, there were some really cool attractions, but it felt underwhelming. I was disappointed with the staff, I was expecting the guides to interact more with the children, but quite literally apart from the guide at the front desk we didn’t get so much as a smile or a “Hello.” Some of the stations would’ve been more interesting if a little guidance was given. I wasn’t expecting a fully guided experience by any means but even just a demonstration on a station that was less intuitive would’ve been nice. My daughter had fun, that’s what’s important. With the children’s tickets costing as much as an adult ticket and feeling underwhelmed I think this is going to be more of an annual trip versus a...

The outside is deceiving. We’ve been a charter member since the beginning and go weekly for context. Constantly have exhibits shut down. The entire water floor is ill engineered. Half the water exhibits do not function like physics would suggest. Water is beyond ice cold, even in winter which isn’t ideal for the baby/infant section. Not all, but a fair share of workers are not friendly, which you’d expect at a …..kids place. Even with the working exhibits, some are just lacking creativity. Those exhibits do not inspire a child to critically think. Not to mention being shut down for over a week and the short hours during the week. They close at 4pm on certain days. What about the parents who actually work in this town? I highly doubt we will renew...

Very nice science center. There are so many things to do. Your child will be entertained and learn more about how things work. The water area is hidden in the basement, so you don't have to go just because the kids saw it! There are quite a few staff wandering around to help and clean up after everyone. It was a bit expensive, but if you are on any financial support you can get a discount. They should have a big discount for grandparents as they would like to come see the kids run around! I bet they'd get more traffic from grandparents bringing kids in, if they did. However, currently there are no elderly or...
