Iâve been coming to this resort for years and this beachside bar has gone miles downhill. We waited about 7 minutes to even be greeted with a lot of open tables already, but that really wasnât the main problem. We ordered two traditional margaritas and were expected to get carded just because weâre on the younger side. We werenât asked for our IDâs, but upon receiving our drinks they tasted like lime. Straight up lime. Usually with blended drinks you can tell the tequila sits on the top because alcohol doesnât freeze but this was not the case. Upon asking our server we were told thereâs definitely alcohol in it even if it doesnât taste like it and we just took their word for it. It just tasted exactly like the ones we received the other night when we asked for virgins instead. We got our checks before we were really done eating, but there wasnât a problem with that because then we could just get up and leave while we were done. As we were signing the check, our food was cleared and I hadnât even noticed in time to stop our server to state that we werenât even done eating and by the time I noticed there was trash all over the plates. Kind of infuriating being hungry after a long day at the beach. At that point, we just wanted to get out of there. We ended up walking down to the other bar that was affiliated to get another frozen drink just to SEE if it tasted like alcohol and who wouldâve thought. It tasted like tequila. If youâre staying at the hilton, either bring your own food and drinks or take the shuttle to baytown wharf because this is NOT the place to get food or service for for the price. A nearly $90 bill later and we had two margaritas that tasted like their virgins and two entrees that we didnât even get to completely finish. Extremely...
Read moreWe went down to try out some of the food, and seated ourselves. The waiter we had was quite attentive, and got our orders fast. The first issue arose when we tried to make a substitution to our meal, and our waiter explained that all the food was pre made and stored, and he could not make any changes. Considering they were charging $17 for this quesadilla, it was surprising it was not made fresh. When it arrived, the portion was smaller than expected, especially for its high price. The food tasted good, but I would have expected much better quality for a dish that almost exceeds $20 for a tortilla, cheese, and chicken. The soft drinks were almost $4, and brought our total to $27. With gratuity included we paid $30 for a quesadilla and two drinks. Most dishes cost around the $20 mark, and so if you are ordering a dish for each member of your family, rather than sharing a small snack like we did, youâll end up spending about $30/person for some pre-prepared food that they heated up. Take your money elsewhere, the Uber you take to get to another restaurant is better worth the cost than...

It is consistent, reliable and always there. Weâve been attending the MS Bar convention for approximately 20 years, and have eaten at Barefoots for almost as long.
Whether itâs lunch, snacks or dinner, Barefoots has something that you can order.
While the menu is not big it has the seafood standbys, the chicken tenders, burgers, dogs, and fries- so the whole family can eat.
The drinks are good and plentiful. The fried baskets are good. The tuna dip is surpassingly good.
Peal and eat shrimp are above average. The burgers and hotdogs hit just right when you need a break from seafood.
Is it expensive? Yes, but itâs right there. You walk. You wear a bathing suit. They bring you your food to the table, the cabana or the beach!
Just do a room charge! Buy...
