I got a blended Affogato, that the worker was so kind to do for my sister and I even though she was closed. It was so good! The store was open an hour after closing which is so generous given the busy night :) Such a cute little shop with lots of options to choose from.

Wonderful service and experience. Must be new owners and new location because none of the prior photos match up. Had to make a second stop on our visit to buy more. Definitely worth the stop to get some saltwater taffy!

these people are so rude idk why they run a business. they act the same way to their employees, even their minor employees.they tell my 16 year old daughter she isnt mature. when she tells them shes sick they go you dont sound sick, like someone sounds sick when they have sun poisoning. my daughter is a wonderful child she had 2 jobs and full time school online. dont you people dare to say something like that to a child ever again. apparently they dont understand how close knitt this area is and everyone knows everyone. but its fine because i dare yall to talk to me the way yall did her. i understand now why is so hard for yall to find help. yall dont deserve good workers.as for the manager ruth, you make a mcds manager look awesome. I think it's funny that you don't address what I was talking about in the beginning with and how y'all talk to her that's why I'm treating you the same way. And actually McDonald's will work with you when have 2 jobs and keep them updated. not to mention when you tell somebody to show up for a shift and then you send them home, trust me if she would got in an accident we be having a whole different conversation. And y'all don't decide when a minor works their parents do. And since y'all want to talk about people not sounding sick when someone's got sun poisoning I need to see some phds. And yeah I have a few McDonald's managers we can contact and talk to and I'll show you how to treat employees with two jobs you have to be understanding. And yes I heard the owner talk to her just like the manager yet don't seem surprise when it's discussed in the Northwest Florida Daily News. But regardless you don't talk to employees like that. Regardless of their age. And both the owner and the manager sounds like you'll never work two jobs. You don't have the right to criticize anybody when you can't do better and when you don't understand or have never been there. And as I said if you'd like to continue this conversation any time. I have the voicemails I heard y'all talk to her. but wait till momma bear gets involved apparently yall need to hear it from a manager...

We stayed at the Destin Golf⛳️outgoing & Beach 🏝 Resort from Oct 21-31. The Candy Maker is one business we frequented everyday, primarily for gifts to give when we returned home. The EXCELLENT customer service we received kept us coming back. I sadly Don't remember name, however you could tell she loved her job, was outgoing & enjoyed serving others. When the customer shared, learning where the customer was from. I spent approximately $100-$150 over the course of our vacation. I was impressed with the unique selection of items. Personally we delightfully enjoyed Frozen Choc. Covered Bananas 🍌 I seen the wonderful selection of novelty items, great for thank you gifts, and stocking stuffers. We also purchased several bags, probably too many I want to mitt two of the adorable dog biscuit treats I not only bought them to bring home to my BICHONS but also to give as little thinking of you items for my friends and their dogs

I am sorry for those of you who did not have the same wonderful experience. However as mature adults, realistically it's not fair to The Candy Maker store for one employee that didn't represent the company or its stardards for customer service. Keep in mind that one or two people do not represent the whole company.

I've learned over the years if there is a problem I make an effort to call, the boss, manager or owner can't be there all the time. They rely on feedback, With that being said, we all know sometimes "Life Happens." May I suggest you make an effort to pick up the phone or email & give a compliment about someone or something positive about your experience. There enough negativity in the world. A little kindness goes a LONG WAY.

The Cummins...

Must have been the rudest , disrespectful customer service I have encountered in my life. Especially in baytowne. We had a question about our receipt and the lady starts to explain the reason we have an extra charge on our receipt. Mean while we spent over 100 dollars in a candy store. The receipt is itemized and only adds 2 things , out of the 20 we bought to represent another charge. So when looking at it , it appears to be a charge for an item we did not buy, roughly 8 dollars. No big deal right. Well when the lady starts talking to us like we are stupid, we tell her " you don't have to talk to us like we are dumb" our children and nieces and nephews plus customers are all standing there. We just seen a charge we didn't have. Her reply was " what don't you understand it's only charged for the 2 things , what do you need a calculator" my wife as comely as she could replied you are very rude and we walked out. If the kids would not have been with us , I would have let the old bag have it. We will never buy from them again. Good luck to the extremely unprofessional , under qualified , in need of a human resource manager , customer service and acquisitions training little old extremely over died red headed lady in the few short , obviously miserable years...
