Finally checked out this little coffee shop after driving past it for months. Upon first inspection it appears to be Argentinian owned or at least inspired. The empanadas as such did not disappoint. Nor did the chocolate media luna. In fact I can comfortably say that it was the best I've had at any Argentinian bakery in the area. It is filled with chocolate pastry cream and topped with chocolate curls. Usually pastry cream is very hit or miss, especially, I find in this city. It is either too sweet or made with cheap processed fat and does not taste real. This pastry cream on the other hand, was light flavorful chocolatey and just the right amount of sweet. The Media Luna itself was very tast, the perfect combination of flaky and doughy.
I of course, also had a coffee with my delicious little pastry. They had a nice coffee selection and flavors and I ordered an oat milk latte with vanilla and lavender and it was delicious. Perfect temperature perfect amount of sweetness and the perfect strength without any instruction from me. The vibe was also very chill and relaxed. There was people there studying quietly and also a table having a casual work meeting. Very inviting and relaxed atmosphere and I will...
Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews, but left with a bad taste. I’ve been wanting to stop by since I live nearby and finally had a chance today. When I walked in, the ambience felt extremely stale. For a second I was confused by the counter set up and once I figured out where to go, I was met with 2 workers that looked inconvenienced by my presence (there was only one customer sitting who looked like he’d been there for a bit working). Was difficult to see the menu due to these massive lamps covering the screens and cashier looked upset. I was hesitant to ask any questions to not upset her anymore. Coffee was decent and the food was pretty okay. There was nothing wow about anything. The other guy was nice and smiled and was helpful. This place seems like another franchise latin cafe. I truly wish they can get better and continue to serve the community. From my experience running coffee shops and being a barista, I feel you’re not getting your moneys worth here. There are other coffee/bakery places nearby where your money...
Read moreGreat little spot away from the madness. Quality food and clean ambiance. To eat We ordered some empanadas and a Croissant. Drinks we got a strawberry spring and an expresso. The cashier/barista seemed a little annoyed she had to work and was not welcoming or friendly. Everyone is entitled to their days, however, this was our first time and we were looking forward to it. The owner was friendly and brought us our food/drink. Better option that Starbucks. We were hoping to order some sandwiches, but maybe next time. This is a dog friendly place so of you are allergic or don't like dogs, be ware. We loved the water fountain for dogs and hope...
