PROMISED PIZZA IN 45. PAID, WAITED, WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT EVEN PUT IN OVEN. GOT REFUND. TRIED TO MAKE COMPLAINT, EMPLOYEES PRETENDING TO BE MANAGMENT, PROFANITY USED AGAINST ME AFTER COMPLAINT. OWNER RELUCTANT TO RESOLVE. FOODS NOT BAD. WATCH YOU STATMENT FOR OVER CHARGES.
January 28, 2024. I placed an order at 5:03 PM. Simply for a cheese pizza. I was told an estimated 45 min to pick up. I arrived at approximately 5:40 pm. I paid for the pizza and even tipped, before being told there was 5 min remaining. I returned to my vehicle with my son and waited approximately 10 min before walking inside again. When I asked about my order, the same women who communicated the 5 min wait look confused. She asked the cooks before telling me they had never put the pizza in the oven. At that point I asked for a return, as I exited, the unprofessional employee at the register with the horrible uninviting edge, felt the need to add an inflammatory comment, telling me "You have a GREAT day.!" I called in and asked to speak with a manager, and was told there was none on duty. I explained id like to make a complaint and she informed me they were making it and I could have waited, I just need to ask. I explained its not on the guest to make that effort, and as an employee that fell directly under her job responsibilities. There was no apology or explanation, just a rude attitude for calling them on their mistake. I informed the employee with these lack of customer service skills, she would stay entry level at that company forever. After being hung up on, I called back. The same employee answered and passed it to the other female employee on staff. She pretended to be a manager. When I asked for her name she replied "oh your the guy being an as* a minute ago, do not call back" and hung-up. I returned to the store to speak with the manager and what would you know, the OWNER WAS THERE. I saw the employee telling the manager I had been rude and told her she would not amount to anything, which was a lie to cover her actions. I had simply told her she had no customer service skills and was attempting to exaggerate it, to distance herself from her mistakes. The owner did hear me out, although he commented that "I doubt there was any profanity". To me, why not conduct an impartial investigation and get the facts, not assume either of our stories. I just wanted pizza. As for it being a Sunday night at 6, I just wanted the pizza I had been promised and paid for. After all, it was simply a cheese.
Mistakes happen. it was the service. Could have easily been resolved.
Look at the reviews, under filters change it from top comments to 'newest' reviews. You will see the trend over over pricing, or deliberately over charging guests.
I speculate now the two female employees do this often, working together, and the owner genuinely doesn't have an idea of how the front end issues are resolved, or lack there of.
Stick to the chains....
Read moreAnyone who knows me knows I’m a very positive person. However….Last night my 82-year-old stepdad was treated very poorly at Mimmos Pizza. Our pizza was accidentally given to the wrong person (no Big Deal), but no one even bothered to tell us. We ordered the pizza almost two hours in advance. After waiting for an additional 15 minutes and me informing him that the pizza had been mistakenly given to the wrong people, he asked for a discount or breadstick or something to make it right. He didn’t ask because he wanted something free, He asked because no one told him and pretended as if nothing happened. The person making the pizza pretty much ignored him. Then he retorted “You’ve only been here 5 minutes”. The receipt said otherwise. Pretty easy to track with the time stamp. We walked in at 6:55.
He asked to see a manager due to the lack of respect given. The person making the pizza said, “there is no manager here”. After visiting their website, there is a nice pretty picture showing that there is not just a manager, but the person making the pizza is the owner/founder. IT IS NOT ABOUT FREE PIZZA, it’s about taking responsibility and more importantly respecting people and respecting elders. Then the father of the founder sitting at a nearby table decided he needed to step in and get in my Stepdad’s face. My step dad never once raised his voice and stayed polite until given a reason to tell the father to back off. The owner’s father literally was picking a fight with an 82 year old man. Ultimately, we were given the wrong pizza as a consolation after the fact, which if that would have been how you would have led the conversation and just admit the mistake, he would have had no reason to be upset because mistakes happen. A good business owns up to it, apologizes or Gives out a coupon or something and moves on. By the time we got the pizza home. The correct pizza (We had 2) wasn’t fresh. It had been sitting for 20 Minutes. And the crust was burned black. Based on the price, the expectation is a premium pizza, which we are totally willing to pay for. But the service, and quality last night was not premium. It was...
Read moreHeard about this place on the radio a lot when it first opened but never got the chance to go. Remembered its location as I was driving around looking for a casual place to eat. It's a modest pizza parlor, very clean and welcoming. It gives up 90s and older nostalgia about grabbing a slice of pizza.
I ordered two pizzas, one with one topping Sausage and "Mimmos Favorite" Speciality. The sausage topping was plentiful but not over baring. Sometimes when you get a one topping you only get a few of the pieces and they evenly distributed the toppings. The crust was done perfectly and made in house.
The Mimmos favorite (I added extra cheese, the recipe comes with 'light cheese' was made in a cauliflower crust. I took a bite and had to make sure my crust was cauliflower. I don't know if they made it in house or not but it was amazing. Sometimes cauliflower crust is soft and falls apart. I felt like I was eating a real pizza.
Overall, it was amazing. Price was a bit much but...
