"A Hidden Gem in South Bend: Where Craft Beer Meets Comfort Food" Nestled beside a charming putt-putt golf course in South Bend, Indiana, this upscale brewery shatters the typical dive bar stereotype with its immaculate presentation and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you pull into the abundant parking lot and are greeted by the friendly host, you know you're in for something special. The star of my feast was the chicken and waffle sandwich – a playful twist on a Southern classic. While the waffle was slightly modest in size and featured two crispy tenders rather than a more substantial cut, the flavors harmonized beautifully. The golden-brown waffle provided a sweet foundation, creating that magical sweet-and-savory dance that makes this combination so irresistible. The beer-battered fries deserve their own spotlight – perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy within, and seasoned just right. They're the kind that make you keep reaching for "just one more" until you're suddenly staring at an empty basket. But oh, those wings! They arrived in a state of crispy perfection, glistening with a mysterious sauce that hit all the right notes. Each bite delivered that satisfying crunch before yielding to tender, juicy meat underneath. At $15 for ten pieces, they're worth every penny. The craft beer selection is impressive, with each sample offering its own unique personality. The bartender's engaging personality and deep knowledge of their brews adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the tasting experience. At $50 all-in (including a beer, sandwich with fries, and wings), it's not the cheapest meal in town, but the quality justifies the price point. The clean, organized space, complete with a lobby shop full of collectibles, elevates the entire experience beyond your typical brewery visit. Recommendation: This is absolutely a must-visit spot in South Bend. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or simply seeking a quality meal in a welcoming atmosphere, you won't be disappointed. Bring friends, order those wings, and make time for putt-putt afterward – it's the perfect recipe for a memorable evening out. Overall Rating: 4.5/5 - A delightful blend of quality food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance that makes you want to return again and again.

Evil Czech Brewery is an interesting location. Throw your expectations out the window, this place is in a league of its own. There's a lot of little details between the menu and the ambience of the location itself, and you can tell there was a lot of care and thought put into every detail. The logo emblem is actually a barbarian, which is the historical Greek term to describe Celtic people/tribes that also settled on the Czech lands during the iron age. It's a unique nod to the ancestral history of the Czech peoples and the owner. I think our expectation was pub food to some degree, but also hoped for cultural eats as well. Some of the menu items are very unique and not commonly found at other restaurants... however, some items are labeled in a way that you may expect them to be like the industry standard, only for it to be completely different. They have a menu item called "beer cheese" that they serve with some entrees and appetizers. Industry standard beer cheese is served hot and in golden liquid form... theirs is served cold, thick with cream cheese and beer mixed in for flavor. It is not what we were expecting at all. Not at all. Technically this item is really "pub cheese", which is a cheese spread/dip and served cold. It's delicious. Their "Nogales Egg Rolls" are essentially Southwest Egg Rolls, and they are tasty! Nogales is a town in Arizona, which is a really unique detail, so there may be some connection. The interior design of the restaurant is intriguing and very well planned. There's plenty of unique artwork, signage, photos, and furniture. I really have to shout out the owner(s) here because they have incredible vision. I think they have done well to become a staple for visitors and their community, and you can tell how much they genuinely care about their guests. This is a place you want to spend time at with friends and family. The experience at Evil Czech is something to behold, and I recommend everyone to check it out!

Okay so here's my review I was in the mood for wings on a Thursday night. Iwas traveling through the state of Indiana, South Bend area - Notre Dame is not far away from the border of Michigan, South Bend City and the hotel where I was staying, Hilton Home 2 suites. The front desk ladies at the hotel recommended Evil Czech. I went there, I order the Ninja wings that Liam suggested. The restaurant was super nice seemed. I got the Ninja wings, omg they look good the flavor was amazing I don't eat much salt they were little salty for my taste. I kindly complained, I usually don't complain. They were very kind, they said they will take care of it choose another one or if you're not hungry don't worry about it's on the house. I didn't feel comfortable leaving without paying I said that to the manager. Then I sat there contemplating what to do and a sweet lady I didn't catch her name, helping the next table, I asked her a question what other wings she would suggest, she said try the popcorn elote which is right below the menu of the Ninja wings. Holy cow were they good they were amazing I would go back again anytime. The Ninja and the elote popcorn wings were the bomb 💣. If you like spicy definitely try the popcorn, because they had a kick with a creaminess you can feel the little crunch of the popcorn and the elote overall. The service was amazing customer service was great. The manager was totally awesome. I did pay for my meal because I felt it was the right thing to do. I highly recommend this place you must go to this place. I don't drink alcohol, but a lot of people wear and it seem like everybody was raving about their in-house brewery, I give this place a five stars.
