Placed in order for takeout, was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up in 19 minutes. I called told them I was there and ready to pick up my food. They told me it would be out in a few. 15 minutes later still no food. I called again and was told it would be out in a few minutes. 15 more minutes past. I saw another car pull in . I watched this person call to let them know she was there. They brought her food out within less than 5 minutes of her making that call. I caught the server on her way back in and asked if I had been forgotten about? I had been sitting out here for now more than 30 minutes waiting for an order that was supposed to be ready when I got there. She told me she would go in and check. 10 minutes later a manager brought me out my food. I drove home which was literally a six minute drive. I opened up my food and it was completely cold. I immediately called them back and told them my food was cold. They told me to come back in 15 minutes and they would have a fresh meal waiting for me free of charge they also said they would credit me back what I had already paid. When I got there 14 minutes later I called to let them know I was there. Another 15 minutes goes by and a server comes out to let me know they hadn't forgotten about me but my food was not ready yet. I waited another 10 minutes before my food was brought out to me. When I got home this time my hamburger was burnt but the fries in the macaroni and cheese were good. I hope to come back and not have this bad of service again. Because I do like hot, fresh, and unburnt, food from red Robin. I was grateful that they gave me the initial refund period but my second trip to get my hot food took 30 more minutes than it should have so the second time I ended up waiting 45 minutes for my food and the first time I was there I waited almost an hour. Read moreIt's easy to give this place a hard time. You just have to know what type getting yourself into. Do they have bottomless sides on a bunch of stuff? Sure! Do they have kitschy decorations? Of course... They're a chain restaurant. There's also cool chalkboards for your family to play with, located by the bathrooms that you can take and return as you wait for your meal. However, they have some big issues. I can't remember the last time I came and there wasn't a single problem with some part of my order. One time I came and got a straight up stale bun. I fricken chewed up and swallowed a bite of stale bread and it was too late. My recompense: a new bun. No free drinks or sides, barely even a sorry, after I ate their rotten food on accident. Last time I went there was some huge black thing in my glass of ice tea/lemonade. When I asked for a new cup, no sorry, just a slightly snobby attitude. Also, I hate the tablets they have at every table, IN ADDITION to the TV's all over the place. My kid will do fine without a screen shining in her face for 40 minutes. I could stay home and eat something healthier and cheaper if I wanted that experience. Read moreWe didn't anything. We came in as a big group of 14. For our granddaughters birthday. Having been told before that we cannot make reservations...we did not even attempt to. But we were told we should have made reservations, that they NOW take them! It is a Sat..We understand that it is busy. We were told about 45 to an hour. Amist glares for being in the way...as we tried to stay out of the way...but it wasn't easy... The little manager was a bit snarky as we and the children with us were getting hangry... When we asked about the empty section, he said with a snotty tone that he had no one to service that area and we wouldn't get served. Actually that would have been a great place for us to wait for seating...but that was not thought of. He said to give him a second. And he walked away. At 1 hr and 30 min. We left. The young lady with the beads in her bun sarcastically said " Have a good evening". She had been shooting us glares the whole wait time. I told her she got her wish and we were leaving. They did miss out on a hefty bill we would have paid. But I guess they don't or can't handle , or manage a big family.
