Zoup! Eatery — Restaurant in Mishawaka

I'm usually wary of straight-up 5-star reviews, but it would be criminal for me to rate this place anything less. The people working were so kind and conversational and they offered to let us sample the many different soups to see which my friend and I wanted to actually eat for lunch. The price is reasonable (~$12-$13 for a meal, plus another $2.50 for a drink). I got the Pick 2 combo, which was a generous sandwich (it says 1/2 sandwich, but the sandwich was pretty hefty, plus I got 8oz. soup).

The sandwich taste was amazing, better than Panera nearby, and the soup was to die for. They uave loaded baked potato and lo ster bisque all year round, and I got the seasonal red curry squash soup. The squash soup is easily the smoothest and most flavorful squash soup I've had in my life.

I was concerned the place was going to be related to Noodles & Co. (which is right next door and woefully disappointing and overpriced).

However, from my understanding, this place is locally owned and operated, and the people running it are so great. I was impressed with everything from quality of service to speed, and the food is easily worth the value, IMO. It's on par with pricier chains, and their specialty fountain drinks are also absolutely delicious! They even have their own special root beer I'd never heard of!

The food is very consistent and good at the price point. No complaints.

However, this review is purely for the EXCELLENT customer service I received x2. I placed an order through Uber, was missing more than a few items 🤦‍♂️. I decided to call the restaurant, very upset. In calling, I spoke with a gentleman who was more than receptive and apologetic (totally owned it!). He also told me his manager was sending me a gift card (despite already being credited back by Uber). Got the card today!

I ordered through Uber again, a couple weeks later. I called the restaurant asking for a specific request, and subsequently spoke with the same guy. I inquired if he remembered me, he said yes. I asked if he had crackers instead of bread. Request completed 💯💯💯.

This guy and place more than exemplifies what food service should be! I will definitely order again, only bc of the outstanding service. There are so many options out there for good food, it comes down to details... whomever I spoke to twice is the reason I will continue to come.

I ordered delivery from Zoup for lunch for myself and a coworker, today. I usually dine in, but it was a busy day so I didn’t leave the office for lunch. When I received my order, I discovered I was missing an item. Obviously disappointed, I called the Mishawaka Zoup’s phone number to speak to an employee, but I had to settle for leaving a voicemail. After I got off of work after 5pm, I checked my phone and saw that Zoup hadn’t yet returned my call. So after a second call to Zoup that went unanswered , I decided to drive there before going home to see if I could speak with a manager. Enter Isaiah R. I shook his hand, introduced myself, and then explained my issue. He apologized for not returning my call citing an unresolved phone issue on their end which currently keeps them from accessing voice messages.
