The employees were all very friendly, accommodating, and informed. My partner and I went in for the first time yesterday and were not very sure about the process, so we asked our waiter and he made us feel much more at ease about how to purchase individual activities.
We also got food prior to us doing anything else, and I would say overall it was fine. I got the fried pickles and the krabby patty pizza. I think the pickles were a bit too salty and could have used a more refreshing sauce instead of ranch, which was also pretty salty. The pizza was really filling and definitely included a lot of crab, I think my only complaint was the crab to sauce ratio, and I think it could have used more sauce. I’d also like to mention that their drink selection is pretty decent, and very fairly priced.
In terms of the activities to do there, we ended up going with the upstairs game room package, which was $5 per person per hour. The darts were fun but somewhat disappointing since the tips were all mostly broken, and they didn’t have many replacements on hand. I would like to mention that there are two dart boards that are evenly spaced, I don’t think there would be an issue with two groups of people playing together.
We also decided to play some of the retro game consoles, but we ran into issues with trying to get the SNES set up. The AV inputs were not plugged into the TV, so I tried to do it myself but they were located in a very inaccessible location on the tv. In order to get them comfortably plugged into the tv, I had to attempt to pull out the tv from the wall, but I couldn’t tell if it was a tv mount that allowed it to be pulled out, so I opted out of trying to plug them in. We instead played Mario kart on the switch which was already set up for us, and that was a blast. I could see a large group of friends coming here to have a Mario kart tournament.
Lastly, we ended up playing pool together and that was a great experience, I had no issues when playing here and it was a very fun time.
Overall, I’d say that this is a really fun place to try out and hang out with friends/family, and despite my minor gripes I will definitely be back to try out...
Read moreA new addition to the Toscana park area. The first floor has the bar and a series of lanes for hatchet throwing, hence the name. The second floor has pool tables, arcade cabinets, and various console game stations.
The food is, by and large, more on the artisanal side. So you can expect some unique flavors in addition to more standard fare. As of this writing, the bar only serves beer and wine (jeagerbombs and hatchet throwing do not mix).
They are adding several electronic dart boards for league play, as well as a golden tee. The arcade cabinets will also be changed out for newer models.
Overall, this is a really fun place to hang out with a group. There are plenty of things to entertain you for hours. I know that my group will be frequent visitors...
