Read moreMy recent visit to Bar Louie - Granger was an unequivocal disaster. Despite the food being passably decent, the atrocious service cast such a dark shadow that it effectively obliterated any redeeming qualities the restaurant might have had.
Our ordeal began with a 15-minute wait for a table, something we initially deemed acceptable. However, once seated, we were plunged into a veritable abyss of neglect. An astounding 25 minutes passed without a single staff member acknowledging our presence.
By this point, we were on the brink of leaving, ready to seek refuge at another establishment. It was only then that the hostess, who had initially seated us, noticed our predicament. Expressing her shock, she rushed off to fetch our waitress.
At long last, our orders were taken, and in a feeble attempt at an apology, we were offered a 'discount'. This 'discount' transpired to be nothing more than the removal of a single soft drink from our bill. A laughable attempt at reparation for such a gross failure in service.
Adding salt to the wound, we had arrived specifically for happy hour, hoping to enjoy the happy hour discounts. However, due to the excruciating wait, we missed out on this, further emphasizing the restaurant's complete disregard for its clientele's experience.
The food, a mac and cheese dish and a flatbread, was adequate, but it was like trying to find a silver lining in a thundercloud. The ineptitude of the service had already polluted our experience beyond repair.
In conclusion, my encounter with Bar Louie - Granger was a wretched one. The appalling disregard for service, pitiful compensation, and missed happy hour discounts have left a bitter taste that lingers. Even the thought of returning to this establishment induces a sense of dread. I implore those seeking a pleasant dining experience to look elsewhere. With service as a fundamental pillar in the hospitality industry, Bar Louie - Granger's failure is not just disappointing, it's...
Read moreI was really excited to spend my birthday with my family at Bar Louie, but had an extremely bad experience. Although I spoke with the owner Jessica about our party size when making the reservation and there did not seem to be an issue, we were surprised when we got there and were not allowed to all sit together. We only needed one small table added and not only were there several open tables next to us that could’ve pushed up against ours, but there was also another party our size that was all sat together while we were there. After asking our server about the issue, the manager Kzenna came out and approached me in a very argumentative and aggressive manner, not even allowing me to speak while she spoke over me. She stated that it was too difficult to move a table from another section that “is as heavy as a server” and we could wait while another table that was already pushed together got cleaned off. I was in such disbelief by the way I was being spoken to that I did not even want to proceed with the conversation and ended it there. The part of my party that was sat separate ended up leaving prior to eating. The manager then came back out with a completely different attitude after half of us had already had gotten food and offered a free appetizer or discount, stating that she wanted us to have a good experience. We declined the appetizer since part of the group was already eating and then were surprised when we received our bill and did not have a discount either. Once asking about this, we received a majority of our seperate food bill taken care of. The server we had did a great job and also explained that this is a recurring issue with that specific manger. I reached back out to the owner to explain the situation and did not hear anything back, adding to the already...
