Both times I went here happened to be on a Sunday around 11 am, so I would expect it to be busy and to have to wait longer. The first time my friend got a speciality drink (I didn’t order anything) and we waited for an hour. The second time was on Father’s Day. My spouse and I got a bag of prepackaged biscotti, two specialty drinks, and 2 cookies. Approximately $40 and 1 hour later I received the wrong drink order. I want to stress that the staff was wonderful, the atmosphere is great, BUT they clearly need to staff up more (not only for the customers sake, but for the staff). The lovely staff member at the register was trying to do her job as well as take food out, which is awesome, but this doesn’t make for an environment where staff can take the time to go to the bathroom or drink water (which I guess solves the bathroom problem). I didn’t bother complaining that I got the wrong drink (even though I’m sure I paid a premium for the one I ordered) because I couldn’t wait another hour and the staff was stressed. The drink I had received was still good, but I was really looking forward to what I actually wanted and paid for. Also… prices are not posted for drinks and maybe for food (?) (at least that I could see anywhere, please correct me if I am wrong).
TLDR: staff is great but over-worked, expensive (but they use local dairy), waited an hour (not enough staff), drink was good but received...
Read moreMy husband and I usually make lattes at home but were looking for something different for our birthdays. We chose this because they claim to make their own coffee syrups with cane sugar/natural ingredients which was very appealing to me, yet they were standard Torani flavors which was very misleading. I had looked online ahead and decided what I wanted, but when I finally got to the counter to order, I was told they no longer had that (Amoré latte). I asked if they could suggest something similar and the girl wasn’t sure. I asked for a menu and was told it was all the way at the end by the register. Why would you make people wait in line to order at the end when they could look at the menu while waiting and place their order? Wouldn’t it make more sense to have it available at the beginning of the line by the bakery case? Or posted somewhere visible where everyone could see? I also chose a pastry which they asked if I wanted heated and in hindsight I wish I had said no. By the time I got home to eat my pastry, I realized it was mostly burned. While it tasted good (the parts I could eat), it was disappointing to be given a burnt pastry. All in all, we waited over 15 minutes for an iced coffee, a latte, and a pastry to go. The atmosphere is beautiful but everything else leaves A LOT...
Read moreI absolutely adore everything about this place. The decorations are so cute and remind me of a cafe in Italy. The food choices, though I did not try them, looked excellent and were being enjoyed by other patrons. The drinks though were EXCELLENT! I got the amore which has blended strawberry and dark chocolate, omg what a treat! I tried to savor it but it was just too good! My husband got the capriccio and loved it as well. I can’t wait to come back here! At $7-$9 each the drinks are pricey but well worth it in my opinion.
Note: although this is a café, it’s not exactly like a Starbucks. There was a lady who was on a conference call and everyone in the entire café could hear her. It’s really not the vibe. This is a café where you go to talk or read, or kind of sit quietly. Especially on a nice day they will have the door open, so it really does feel like italy when...
