Read moreOh how I now loathe Krispy Kreme donuts and the entire brand is now dirt to me. Today was their "Talk Like A Pirate Day" otherwise known as how to make small kids cry and piss off their parents and not even feel bad about it.
After our kids spent 1.5 hrs making all their own 3 item pirate gear this company actually thought it was "OK" to break their little hearts by closing early at 9:25 PM (they close at 10pm).
We stroll in their with our kids so proud...only to have their hearts broken by Daniel McCombe, Unit Manager (and the rest of the crew there). They actually closed their entire store drive thru and all early and left a wake of disappointed kids behind. Him and the employee working drive thru showed zero compassion they couldn't even muster a generic insincere appology. I could not help blurt out "you suck".
Hey Krispy Kreme are you listening? This is an epic social media campaign fail on your part -- shame on you! We are regular customers NO MORE! Tomorrow we promised the kids a visit to a mom and pop donut shop that won't make them cry! From fun to fail, a lesson on how to build badwill.

Read morei used to work here and even in a pandemic, the store is highly unsanitary. i've seen flies and bees near the donuts(i quit in august by the way), and im seriously concerned with the lack of care the managers put towards covid.
for example; one of my managers talked about how she had gotten tested twice for covid. the manager im referring to saw my coworker coughing excessively and sent her home. the girl had to go to her brothers wedding that weekend, and when she got back i asked her if she was thinking about getting tested for covid. she was very offended i even asked, and the SAME MANAGER that was sooo worried about covid agreed and said, "its fine, layney, she doesnt have covid". ironically, a week or so later, we find out one of our employees tested positive for covid. also important to note, there were a few people who were adamant on not getting tested.
i feel like if i wasnt working there during a pandemic, things would've been better. most of the staff is very nice, but the managers should be more worried about...
