Tacos & Co. — Restaurant in Mission Viejo

This is more of a 2.5 star rating. While this place was friendly and generally clean and nice looking, the food was not tastey to us. I got steak fajitas and my husband got carnitas tacos. Meat on both was pretty dry, didn't seem to have much if any seasoning, and the steak had a lot of gristle. The chips were pretty stale as well. If the food were cheaper, I think the quality would be understandable but it wasn't overly cheap pricing. My husband and I went at off hours, about 2pm, so maybe that accounts for some of the staleness. The rice and beans were my favorite part of the meal, average tastiness though, nothing to die for. If you want Mexican food in the area, go across the street to Olamendi's. It's about the same price range but...

I stopped by Tuesday 8/13 at 6:46 pm. I tried the street tacos with black beans and rice. The tacos were good. I tried the blackened salsa and it wasn’t fresh tasting. The salsa bar was not wiped down, looked at the food preparation counter and was the same. The floors were trashy and the trash can full. Looked around to see how many clerks were on staff and there were four, two males and two females. They were all behind the counter eating and drinking soda, chatting. I did not like the atmosphere their work ethics displayed. They should pay a visit to Baja Fresh tacos, Baja fish tacos, or any other good taco eateries where the employees are cleaning, wiping down, and doing great customer service. Not planning on...

My husband and I went here tonight for dinner after trying a few Mexican food places in the past. We are on the search for a good quality, fair priced place; needless to say, this place didn’t meet our expectations. Just a few bites in, we decided we wouldn’t be returning. My husband got the two enchilada combo plate with rice & beans, I got the taquito combo plate (the chicken was excessively dry) with rice & beans— all of what we received were hardly warm and borderline cold with the exception of the beans.
