5/19/2021- apparently you can’t leave more than one review, and while this DQ is closest to my house and as much as I love Dairy Queen, this branch is no longer receiving our business. Last night (5/8/21) at 8:07pm I was on doordash selecting Dairy Queen- which said they were only taking orders until 8:30pm. So I hurried, picked out our favorites- only to be told Dairy Queen had been turned off and wasn’t accepting any orders. So I called your store, six different times over fifteen minutes- trying to account for busyness. No answer. Straight to voice message each time, so I couldn’t ask why they were off on doordash or anything of the sort. So we drove over, they had one car in line, the kitchen had five employees in there, our order STILL got messed up, and now I know they were there just literally ignoring everything. I get it, I worked fast food with Uber eats hounding us all the time- but they disengaged before the cut off time and then ignored every call to their store when they were there and open and our order was still messed up because the DT cashier wasn’t paying attention and cut us off, which has now happened pretty much every time, and we rarely even go to this branch but we’re finished now. I wish I could give this half a star, but we’ll be going to any other DQ than this one.
Good afternoon, I didn’t want to leave a public review but can’t get ahold of anyone and I want to bring attention to arguably the POOREST service I have had in a long time. At 4pm at the N Reserve Street location, my partner and I went through the drive thru of the Dairy Queen we frequent the most in town. Your drive thru employee: Alexandria, was rude, inattentive, unpleasant, short and snarky when the mistake was brought to her attention, and ended up making the entire exchange more unpleasant than I’ve had in drive thru in awhile. And there’s a LOT of grace given the skeleton crews nowadays. I’ve worked drive thru and food service, and it takes a lot for me to even mention, let alone complain. But Alexandria provided probably the rudest customer service, and ended up shorting us of items in our order when we were finally...
Read moreWent to Dairy Queen for a quick lunch with my daughter and wait for food was expected but the food sat in the window forever and the employee looked rather annoyed with being at the location and more less wanting to just hangout and talk and not really do anything. When the food was brought to the table found part of my order was not even hot and when i informed the employee who was the manager he sounded disgusted with hearing a complaint about any of the food brought out and when he went to replace the food item the other employee sounded even more disgruntled about having to make it over and really amused with themselves as though this was their hang out spot and there was absolutely no motivation or sense of Urgency to get orders done and proficient in manner as though they were just going through the motions. The whole building over all seemed as through the employees didn’t care about basic cleaning of the floor or much of changing gloves for that fact. I watched employees in the kitchens and I didn’t not see or hear any of them wash hands between making food or doing any of the side work or tasks. When there were no orders or people at the counter or kitchen people seemed to disappear from sight. One employee came back from where ever and did not wash their hands and just threw gloves back on and started touching their headset before making food. The freezers where customers could pick items out seemed to stocked but only the big name things where the items in the bottom of the shelves seemed forgotten and pans dirty. Doesn’t surprise me that this place feels like a ghost town restaurant. Employees also huddle and hide in the very back of the building by the cooler and freezer doors. The manager on duty looks bored and as though he doesn’t know what he is supposed to be doing checked the soda nozzles and barely touched a towel to it was baffled at how it looked. Going back to basics is over needed for this place from how often things should be done to hand washing and changing gloves and to a non...
Read moreThe food was good, nothing special but certainly solid. The cookie dough blizzard was fantastic, and I had the double backyard burger with onion rings. The rings were perfectly cooked in my opinion, good crunch without being overcooked. The burger was kind of sloppily assembled, but that's not a big deal. They don't shy away from the bbq sauce either, which is good, many places barely have any.
My only issues, first off the dining room isn't laid out very well, too many divider walls, makes the place feel very small, and it's already kinda small. Second, the majority of people who were in ordering never sat down, they just hover around the counter, it's hard to know who is waiting for an order to go and who is waiting to order. And my biggest complaint, sanitation. I'm food service manager certified, and the lack of handwashing by the front counter person, who is running the register and taking cash, then turning around and handing people their food, especially ice cream cones, with no gloves, no washing, nothing. And then, dude takes off his hat, shakes his long hair all over the place, then slaps his hat back on with hair all over sticking out. Not only is this wholly unsanitary, but is absolutely unprofessional. I chose not to try and watch those in the back, because the whole team there just gave off an air...
