Montana Jack's — Restaurant in Missoula

I used to love this place’s food but will not be returning again. We placed an online order this evening and when we got home and looked at our burgers, we noticed they didn’t have toppings on them aside from mayo (they were both supposed to have mushrooms). So we called and asked if we could get new ones and also requested that there be no mayonnaise this time. My boyfriend was super nice on the phone when asking them to remake the burgers. When we got back to Montana Jacks they gave us the burgers, we checked them in the parking lot, and I got mayo all over my hands just from checking. Not only were there still no mushrooms, but they put ten times the amount of mayo as the last burgers had and it really felt like intentional retaliation for asking for our food to be remade correctly. So we went back inside and politely requested a refund which they obliged but the whole experience was just really frustrating and off-putting. I don’t recommend.

edit: since I can’t reply to the owner’s response, this was at the Missoula location and the order was in my partner’s name. Perhaps look at your refunded orders to find ours if you are looking to address this...

The owner of Montana Jack's used to own Fat Cat. If you are from Missoula, you remember when it opened and sadly the day when it closed. They offered a salad bar, pizza, soup and chicken fingers, which were a all you can eat set up. Dang, it was good, but not only that, he made a bunch of gluten free stuff. For those of you that aren't gluten-free, you may not know how hard it is to eat out and find those options. Plus my family that can have gluten couldn't tell the difference of gf versus non with the fried chicken. IT REALLY IS THAT GOOD...and now you can get that same great chicken and so much more at Montana Jack's. 👍 😃 The downside is that when covid hit Montana Jack's had to move things around, and instead of the casino being separate from the restaurant, the tables are now intermingled around the games stuff. We went for an early lunch and it was quiet. But if you aren't into games the food is worth it, especially for those of you trying to find GOOD GF food.

This evening we went to your restaurant for the Prime Rib Dinner. We have had this many times in the past. But tonight was such a disappointment. First of all we were told by one server that she thought that they had just sold the last piece of prime rib, but she would check. She did not come back to our table. Another server told us that she thought that they were out but she would check, they had some prime rib so we ordered one piece that was med well and one med rare. They were out of mashed potatoes so we settled for fries. The add above reads that you got a salad choice of potatoes or broccoli. We had to ask for a salad, aus jus and some horseradish.. My prime rib was cool and well done, The service was the worst we ever had there. This was not a meal worth $60.00. A very dissatisfied...
