I decided to try this place for the first time through Uber Eats. On my order I had a hummus bowl and some other items. At first I thought it was going to look something like how Chipotle makes their bowls, which is the main reason why I decided to try this place plus the picture on the website shows the same vision I had at first. Well that’s not what it is. They put lettuce at the bottom then put the rest in corners as you can see in the picture. So i noticed I didn’t see any hummus in my hummus bowl I lift things around to see if I could find it but I didn’t see it all. I decided to call the restaurant and told a women what the issue was. She says her shift leader knows for a fact that she put the hummus in it. I asked her well is it in the bottom because I don’t see it. The person I was talking to made it seem like I was lying so I told her I could send her a picture even a video to show them that I don’t see it at all. She gave me her number and I sent a photo to her. I’ll be posting a before and after picture of what the bowl looked when I received it and after when I tried looking for the hummus while I was on the phone with her. Now the hummus bowl is on the right side and Baja bowl is on the left. She replies to me saying “ So the bowl looks as if it has already been mixed so I cannot tell where the hummus is. The only thing I can suggest is to come up here bring you bowl back and I can remake it. Other then that there’s not much I can do. It’s a third party order.” Might I say if I had the means to come up to the restaurant I would’ve done that to begin with. The only thing that is mixed is the rice after I tried looking everywhere for this hummus. Honestly all I wanted to do was to let them know I didn’t receive the hummus but it has turned into something way more than it needs to be. Being that it is my first time ordering from this place I have no clue if everything was suppose to be cold because it definitely was. Rice beans chicken. If it’s meant to be like that Ok. But besides that little issue the food was ok. Strongly regretting ordering from this place and should’ve just order from Chipotle but the smoothie I got was AMAZING. I say stick to smoothies and work on your customer service. I shouldn’t feel like this after getting off the phone with you and have to justify myself like that. Read moreI am coming with the review and regretfully so. I dined at Tropical Smoothie Cafe today and had the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread which is normally quite tasty. Today I was eating my sandwich and was about halfway through the meal when I decided I wanted to take a few pieces of lettuce out to get more of the chicken and bacon. I opened the flatbread and immediately noticed something black on my lettuce and identified that it was a small fly. After noticing this I immediately went to the counter and informed a staff member who was standing near the register. She immediately got her manager and when he came over I immediately showed him the flatbread and the fly on it. He then looked at me puzzled and shrugged his shoulders. He then told me he could remake the flatbread. In response I let him know that I really no longer had an appetite, understandably so and I would rather just get my money back for that particular item. He then asked me for my receipt which I had not been given one and he said I cannot look up the order without the amount. This was after I had informed him of the items ordered. I told him if he could give me a moment I can check my account as I know that the order would also include a tip that I added to the total. Another staff member walked up and looked up the order on the opposite register and told him that she found it. He then proceeded to process my refund for the flat bread and gave me a receipt for the refund and not one time did the manager apologize for this. I do understand that things happen but as a customer and someone who has worked in customer service I would definitely be apologetic that any customer was not able to enjoy food that they purchased. I think an apology is the bare minimum however I did not received that and for that reason I will not be returning. Actually what I did receive was the manager first questioning if the fly landed on my food while I was eating it and was not prepared with the fly. To that I responded to him and told him that I do not believe that happened as the fly was clearly dead and not moving when I brought it to him to observe. Read moreI won’t be going to this location again nor use the comp mobile app. I don’t even think I’ll be back at any TSC. I placed an order online through their app. As I was trying to complete the order by adding a new card, I was only given the option to click complete/add card. As I clicked on it instead of going back to the the checkout page so I can be able to review everything I was automatically charged an extra $3.99 in gratuity that was added to the total amount. Didn’t even give me an option to check if everything was correct. It wasn’t even a “place order” button … I had absolutely no way of changing this and wasn’t given the option. I couldn’t cancel the order as the app said I had to call the store to cancel. Well I kid you not I call the store more than 25X and it was either no answer or the phone didn’t ring. My daughter even tried calling from her phone. Same thing. … This made me furious as don’t get me wrong I’m all for tipping and it was just $3.99 but let me do so after the service has been performed. Why would I tip you before I got my food, which by the way I had to go pick up and I have no way of knowing how the service will be… this is just crazy to me. Anyways, I get there, I’m already upset by this tipping thing, the app said go the to designated pick up section for mobile order pickup, there wasn’t one in front. No signs, NOTHING. Had to go in to pick it up. The food was ready though, but this was just crazy. I did mobile order with pick up so we wouldn’t have to go inside. Y’all need to get it together with this issue. Don’t offer mobile order/pickup if you don’t have a system in place as your app states to go to the designated pickup section at the store with no instructions on whether it was a parking spot or inside the store. You’d think they’d have a parking spot for mobile pick up like most (like Smoothie King, Chick fil A, Whataburger).
