Awesome place! When I saw that Casa Bella has a molcajete dish, I knew we had to try it. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday, and it was jam packed! That's normally a good sign. I mean to the point where I had to park at the furthest point away from the building! The place didn't look big enough to fit that many people, but it does. The wait was about 20 minutes. There isn't a great place to wait, sadly, as there isn't really a lobby. Once we got seated, they took our order and got us some chips and salsa. The salsa tastes great! I love a fresh tasting salsa with cilantro, and this fit the bill. It took around 30 minutes to get our food, but they did warn us about a long wait before we ordered. I'm glad to report that the food was worth the wait. It came out piping hot, and it was all delicious! The meats in the molcajete were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The man serving us was friendly and checked in with us at a good rhythm. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, although it was packed. The location is really nice for those south of Springfield. Overall, it was a great visit, and...

This place was excellent! They upgraded the previous Maria's South location. The location is very clean and very nicely decorated. The staff were all very friendly! I had the Bella Special. It is often called jalisquito at other places. It's my favorite dish and they perfected it. It was very good! I looked at everything that was coming out to other patrons and it all looked great so I definitely recommend this place.

Update: I've now also tried the chicken chimichanga and the ceviche. Chimis are usually fairly standard everywhere you go but not here. The chicken was clearly marinated to take on way more flavors and was really good. The ceviche was with shrimp. I had never had ceviche before so no point of reference. It was pretty much all meat and veggies though so a very healthy and tasty choice. This place may be the best Mexican place in...

Update: you wanted more information so here it is. Bland food means lack of flavor, lack of herbs and spices. Food was like boiled chicken or cooked hamburger wrapped in a flour tortilla with some cheese sauce on top. Lacking a recipe with a good combination of flavor, that is bland. Hope this helps you to be better because so much lacking. Wait staff was not friendly, the first time we felt ignored, the second time we felt like she didn't want to be there at all and waiting on us was the last thing she wanted to do. Is it possible we went on two very off nights? Possible but doubtful.

Tried Casa Bella again and food is bland and took very little work to prepare these pricey meals. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt after first experience but after second try we won't...
