This was my first visit to the Texas Roadhouse, and I must say my introduction to the franchise came with a few surprises. When I pulled into the parking lot, I was expecting my visit to mirror every other chain steak house I had been to, however, I would soon see that this was a different steak joint. Strangely enough, my first glimpse of their customer service started in the parking lot. I just so happened to attempt to pull into a space next to where an employee was parked and was about to get something from their car. I offered to give her time to do what she needed to do before I finished parking but she politely insisted on waiting for me to park so that I didn't have to wait on her. After I parked she walked with me into the building with a friendly conversation. The hospitality continued throughout my experience with a hostess who first welcomed me, then offered me the opportunity to hand pick my steak, and then chatted with me while showing me to my table. Once seated my waitress Kara quickly greeted me and took my drink order. By this time it had become clear to me that customer care was important to this restaurant's staff. I was born and raised in Texas and steak for most Texans is as important to us as football and church. Therefore, whenever Kara was able to intelligently explain the differences between the sirloin and the ribeye then I knew I was in the right place. I was raised around cattle, was a Future Farmer of America student, and had been grilling beef since I could hold a pair of tongs, hence I had already known the difference but being served by a waitress in a chain restaurant who knew her stuff was a welcomed surprise for me. The meal was started with complimentary rolls with honey and cinnamon butter, which was wonderful. The fresh salad was just as good as the rolls and I was pleasantly surprised they had my favorite dressing, French. I ordered my ribeye medium and that is exactly what I got. Some guy named Seth was on the grill according to a sign near the hostess stand and he did a fantastic job. I asked for steak sauce just in case I needed it but I did not require it at all. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful just as it was presented to me. I was convinced that I was sitting in a roadhouse that had been birthed from my home state but imagine my astonishment to read on their website that the first Texas Roadhouse was opened in Clarksville, Indiana, in 1993. Surprise! In conclusion, I can not say enough about how friendly the staff was. I was blown away by their knowledge of cuts of beef and the precision of the chef to cook my steak exactly as I ordered it which is quite rare in my experience. No pun intended. Thanks, Texas Roadhouse I will be back.

When I set out at 9pm for a late dinner (was craving a cactus blossom) I did a comparison between Outback Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse. What I read was that Texas Roadhouse was livelier, with music and line dancing, and had a better quality of steak. I chose Texas Roadhouse because I wanted an upbeat evening. Well on my way there I learned that they close at 10pm 🤯. I moved here from Phoenix where everything was open much later. I wasn't worried though due to my arrival time being before 9:30 according to my directions. I'm not sure why but my directions had me get off at Glenstone and drive through city streets instead of the freeway so I didn't arrive until 10 minutes before closing time. It took a couple minutes to be seated due to everyone trying to close and go home. Even though time was short I was asked if I wanted to pick out a steak from the display case and I said no. I was seated and told that the kitchen and bar stopped taking orders at 10. I ordered a drink and the waitress went and brought it back a couple minutes later which gave me enough time to quickly decide what steak I wanted. After I ordered the waitress said the bar closed in 2 minutes so if I wanted another drink she could quickly put the order in. My food came out quickly (so quickly I was worried it would be undercooked) but OMG everything was cooked perfectly and so delicious. My second drink came after the waitress dropped off my food and it tasted awesome as well. I was only able to eat a quarter of the meal since there was so much food. I asked for boxes to take the rest home. I was the only customer left but not once did anyone ask me to leave or even make me feel rushed. My only complaint has to do with the music and line dancing. Like I said I had looked online before hand and was excited about music and dancing and when I walked into the restaurant a big banner said line dancing every hour . I thought to myself I would have to come back on the weekend. On my way out I asked a waiter where in the restaurant the dancing took place (so I could sit near there) and was told that they don't do the line dancing anymore!!! If you don't do the line dancing anymore then at a minimum the banner in the restaurant should be taken down.

I went with my family. There were 4 of us. They sat us way in the back at one of the smallest tables ever. We got the Blossom with its "Cajun Sauce" ( that's how it is said on the actual menu). It tasted familiar, so we asked what was in it....Pretty much Ranch with Cajun Seasoning! Well, I'm allergic to Ranch and had already tasted some. Smh. I ordered the Portebello Mushroom Chicken. First, when the food came, the waitress wanted to pile up all these places and cups without removing anything. We were literally at this little table holding our old plates up just so she could set new ones down. It was so crowded and just disorganized. It was horrible. She was in such a rush she didn't even ask could she take anything until we stopped her from leaving. My chicken was NOT cooked all the way and the sauce on it was dark brown and thick and tasted bland. So I switched entrees and got the country fried sirloin. Smh it was more breading and Grey gravy then meat and when you finally DID get through to the meat it was NOT seasoned and it was watery. For an 80 tab only ate complimentary bread, baked potatoe and broccoli and a watered down ceasar salad and an allergic reaction to which the waiter said "Well next time you come there ia an allergy menu online" it should be on the actual IN STORE menu..... My son said his steak was fine. My other son said his 6oz was "Too chewy" right off the bat. So not worth the money spent. 😕

Most of the time my experience with this restaurant has been somewhat positive. Unfortunately today was not one of those times.

Granted my party of 2 came in for dinner on black friday, it’s a given it is going to be busy and the food will take a little longer than expected which is completely understandable and fair.

Came into eat and got sat pretty much immediately after putting our name in the waitlist online. We got sat at a booth near the bar and was greeted by one of the Bartenders: Bailey. Asked for two waters and received them basically immediately. By the time our server came back we were ready to order yet she dropped the waters off and immediately left without giving us a chance to order, figured she was most likely slammed which was understandable. After about 5-7 minutes of waiting for her to come back we order an appetizer of the cheese fries. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, Plain, add mayo and the other person in my party ordered a bbq grilled chicken breast with a side of corn and a sweet potato.

Appetizer came out and it was very OK. Not something that i’d order again but glad i tried it. Took around a total of 25 ish minutes for food to come out which was completely fair with how packed the restaurant is and the fact that grilled chicken takes a very long time to cook.

The grilled chicken came out amazing and tasted easily 5/5. My burger came out without mayo and the bun was charred and unbearable to eat. As someone who works as a bartender/server I understand how annoying and sometimes rude it can be for guests to send back food, but with the burger being so incredibly unpleasant I felt like I had to send it back and was going to let my server (Bailey) know the next time she came to check on us.

For the next 15-20 or so minutes when the food arrived at our table we never got checked on. Normally i wouldn’t be upset considering how busy it was, however, both myself and the other in my party saw her standing behind the bar, arms crossed without a care in the world. I ended up not eating my burger at all and ended up leaving starving. Finally at the end we were finally approached by her and asked if we needed any boxes, clearly trying to get rid of us.

Once again, as a bartender, I get it. It was busy, servers were probably tired, kitchen had so much going on at once, I get it. It is very frustrating and disappointing to receive poor service when I see other servers in the restaurant provide outstanding service. Not trying to get any associate in trouble but y’all gotta be...

If I could give this restaurant a 0 rating I would have. My husband was asked where he wanted to go for his birthday and out of all the restaurants he chose here. We knew it being a Sunday it would be a longer wait and we had a party of 10 starting off and then because of the wait ended up with 8 of us. Our wait time was 1 hour plus and then we were brought inside and stood just inside the door for another 10 mins. We then were seated and sat at the table for another 10 mins before the waitress came and took our drink and appetizer orders. We asked if we could just give her all of our food orders and she told us no she would be back as soon as she could and turned around and walked away. 15 mins or so and the appetizers show up and still no drinks. The waitress came back and brought more bread and no drinks. We finally asked and they were delivered right away. She then took our orders and our grandson wanted an appetizer for his meal and was told they were out of wings, then the waitress told us they could put the chicken fritters on. She said she would skip over him and come back to him. He said he wanted the kids chicken meal and she told him he was out of that as they were the wings, then we told her to give him the appetizer with the chicken fritters and she said she can't do that. What a disaster. We sat for over 1 hour and 45 mins for our meals to come out. Everyone of our meals were just warm to the touch, the broccoli and beans were ice cold as if they just served them right out of the refrigerator or can. The loaded fries for my grandson were so overly microwaved that the cheese was rock hard. We told our waitress and she got pissed off and said don't blame her as it wasn't her fault it was the kitchen's fault. Maybe so but you didn't refill our drinks, you got mad when someone didn't receive part of the order and your attitude sucked. I believe in tips and in cash but I can guarantee what you did get wasn't deserved. The bathrooms were filthy looks like they hadn't been touched all day. I get this is a Sunday and they were busy but rude service and non cleaned bathrooms are not acceptable. Unfortunately this has been the case not to this extreme about 6 months ago and so we know to stay away for a bit. We did say something to the manager and she offered 40.00 off for 300.00 worth of meals. I guess it is better than nothing. We won't be back. HORRIBLE FOOD AND...
