I made reservations for a room for one night through, which I guess it turns out to be a non-local and central reservation department, as I was in route to the hotel. By the time I was done with the reservation, which I had paid for over the phone, I had been sitting at the front door of the hotel for about 10 minutes. When the call ended, I immediately walked into the lobby and immediately, as no one was in the lobby, spoke with a gentleman working the front desk named Taylor. Taylor proceeded to tell me that the room I had just reserved 2 minutes ago and paid for was not available, but he could get me into another room for a higher charge. I agreed to the change and then he told me there was a $250 cash deposit. I asked if he could take the deposit on a credit card and he said no, cash only. At that point, I declined the room due to the suspicious room change and because the lady that took my reservation over the phone didn’t mention anything about a $250 cash deposit. A few days later I noticed on my credit card statement that Sleep Inn charged me for the room. So, I called and spoke with the manager on duty, Erica. I explained to her the situation and asked her to go back and watch the video surveillance and listen to the reservations call for confirmation. She put me on hold and then got back on the phone and said she doesn’t have access to the phone call with reservations, but she watched and listened to the conversation with Taylor. She said that she would not be issuing a refund because I excepted the reservation and then declined it, so it is considered a no show. I told her I agreed to a reservation and then I was told of additional requirements (the $250 cash deposit) so the terms of the reservation changed after the fact. She said it didn’t matter that I should have known or should know to always call directly to the hotel to find out if there is a deposit or not. I was stunned and I told her I did call the local number and it said hit 1 for reservations, so that’s what I did. She did not want to hear it and said she would not refund the money. I told her that was stealing and I asked her for the corporate phone number, which she did give me. I am now calling the corporate office and I am hopeful that they will do the logical and right thing. Oh, and I also took the time to sign up for their reward program when asked by the reservations lady. Not very...
Read moreMy husband and I have stayed at other Sleep Inns and have been satisfied, however, this one did not meet the standard others have set. We stayed in a single queen, the room was small and the bathroom consisted of a small shower stall and toilet. The sink was located outside the bathroom as part of the room. The decor of the room was nice and it was fairly clean. I went down to the area where the pool and hot tub were located 3 separate times on Saturday afternoon just to turn and walk away due to the large amount of kids that were running wild in the pool area. I tried a fourth time Saturday evening after dinner and it was still just as loud and many kids (and adults) running wild in the pool area. My husband and I joined another couple in the hot tub and watched as the kids were running, doing flips, jumping over people, etc. We left because they were running back and fourth between the pool and the hot tub (there were 14 in their group that were in the water and several outside the pool "watching" and taking pictures). There was no relaxing only a headache coming on. We left the pool area and before heading up to the room I spoke with the manager on duty about the situation. Both because I was annoyed, but also because they were being careless and didn't want anyone getting hurt. When I shared with him how rowdy it was in there, his comment was, "yeah I know. I've been here for almost 8 hours and it has been like this the whole time. There is nothing I can do." My husband and I were already scheduled to be checking out on Sunday, however, if our reservations were to be staying longer, I would have left early and gone to another hotel. I will not be staying at this hotel again. The management doesn't seem to support or care about the concerns of...
Read moreOur first nights was ruined by the adjoining rooms alarm blaring before 5am. We obviously went to the front desk and the gentleman there advised me he could do absolutely nothing and was not allowed to disturb other guests, despite the alarm being so loud in our room and audible from the front desk. I was tired and went back to the room, but my husband didn’t accept this answer and went up to the front desk, but there was no one there and after ringing the bell multiple times no one arrived at the front desk. We had to take matters into our own hands and bang on the guests door for minutes to get any peace. This was incident one. My husband posted about the experience and despite management being aware of the incident, they claimed publicly on Google that they had no records of our stay while their own staff harassed me multiple times to have him change his honest review. So here is our families review under our booking name and another 1star for your fine establishment that lets its guests answer noise issues. Our stay here was truly awful, made worse by the fact we had few options as we’re here for a funeral and because of the last-minute arrangements couldn’t afford to book an entirely new hotel and pay for it without a refund. And by the third night here, I’ve found multiple bites up and down my legs so while we have no evidence of bedbugs, we have multiple pictures of bites that were documented by us and the front desk…don’t stay here ever. We are on our way home from grieving and my husband getting sick mid travel and instead of getting any rest we are worried about paying extra money to eliminate potential bedbugs or any parasites that might live in these rooms. Don’t worry, I have a selfie with your hotel so you can’t claim this time we...
