Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Mitchell

This has become a usual stop for us on our trips to the Black Hills area. The coffee here is always good from plain ol' black to mocha coolers with whip, they have it all. Staff had changed over the years but always are friendly and ready to help translate your order, especially for those of us who only visit a few times a year. But make sure you look at the menu for this location as several of the drinks on the generic Caribou Coffee page are not available at this location. It was a minor annoyance but the staff helped us get what we wanted and it was ready fast. Prices are below average on most drinks and they even had a few we had not heard of before. We stop on our way out and again on our way back when traveling down 90. Plenty of gas stations near by as well, so make a coffee and gas stop in Mitchell, the Corn Palace isn't the only thing...

I’m from Washington State and tried a Caribou Carmel hot cocoa at a truck stop off I-29 by Yankton/Vermilion South Dakota exit and it was amazing!

I recently moved to Mitchell SD and want to order the same thing but with perks/points so I downloaded the app, created my account, added money from my bank account to the app, created my special hot cocoa order and when I tried to purchase it I got a pop up message that said “Error, unable to validate your order and contact customer support”.

I didn’t see a customer support phone number anywhere on the app and it’s very frustrating that I went through all of that for nothing. So now I can’t use the $25 I just added to my account and I don’t get the hot cocoa and bagel I ordered. I don’t see any perks for 1st time users like a free item or reduced price item either.

What’s the point of downloading...

This caribou location has very friendly staff and also very accommodating staff - the order app for Caribou recently had an update and essentially rendered my app useless for its constant errors when trying to complete an order. Being someone who commutes 30 minutes from out of town for work, order ahead is a necessity. Thankfully I was able to call the local store and the staff was kind enough to make my order ahead over the phone.
