This store is always hit and miss for quality of food, service and atmosphere, usually it is sub par and only occasionally at par or above. The owner seems to be am alright guy who also own Pizza Ranch in Dell Rapids and Canton, South Dakota but isn't at this location very much so maybe why their are more issues. As well I've never seen the actual General Manager at this location because I guess I go by in the evenings and this Manager apparently never works in the evenings when it's the busiest and the manager should be there honestly so it's usually this younger 20 something young man doing his best to hold the fort down.
Common things wrong foe me at this location is the coffe pot is always put or cold by even 6pm each evening as well as sometimes we have to wait around for 10 to 20 minutes or more for items on the hot bar to be replenished like mashed potatoes or spaghetti sauce and then when you custom order Pizzas they more often then not do not have alot of toppings on them which is the case with lots of Pizza Ranch Locations so I always, always, always ask for double toppings and they still come with few toppings or almost none of some of the toppings on the Pizzas. This stor is usually pretty clean. The biggest complaints are timeliness and lack of toppings on Pizzas.
Would I go back to this location, yes, only some, in the future and will be trying other places as I pass thru Mitchell from the Twin Cities to my ranchland South of Rapid City and to Denver to work via the...
Read moreGluten free ( GF) pizza in Tea is no added charge but it was considered a requested pizza. I asked for a box to take the leftovers home but they wouldn’t let me do that. So what was left would be thrown away. We made sure that didn’t happen.
GF pizza in Vermilion is $5.00 more but here I can take the leftovers home.
GF sensitive pizza in Mitchell is $13.00. Now why should I have to pay the very spendy price of the adult buffet and buy a $13.00 pizza? Gee maybe I will just buy the pizza and ask a friend to get me a few things off of the buffet ?? I asked what a GF sensitive meant. Apparently the GF pizza might come in contact with things that are not GF. Well make sure it doesn’t come in contact with Other products that aren’t GF. When the very young lad came over with my pizza, he asked me if I wanted just some pieces of pizza or all of it?? I want all of it, I said. I paid for all of it - I want all of it. The poor kid looked at me as if to say - geez lady sorry.
Now I do applaud Pizza Ranch For having a GF pizza option. Other places like McDonalds and Burger King have nothing for GF options I don’t mind paying a little extra since GF stuff costs more. For goodness sake though why can’t you all handle it the same way? Apparently that is too much to ask ?? Could those in management positions think about it and come up with something and try it out?? Those of us that have to eat GF would really appreciate this I am...
Read moreCame in during dinner hours. There was a pizza and a half on the pizza buffet, a partial cheese stick tray as well. I asked if more would follow and I also asked for a specific one, sure thing, right......wrong. 50 minutes later, still waiting. The very nice lady working the register informed me they were still in a meeting.....ummmm, so by this time there is no pizza on the buffet. However I did nibble on some of that dry fried chicken, gave up on that and tried the 2 pieces of less than desirable pizza, when hungry you will make the poor choices. Had dessert.... the soft serve ice-cream, never a bad choice. Anyways, my point being How can you have the whole kitchen staff in a meeting during dinner hours, I will say I was there at the beginning of dinner hours, not busy. I've never been a restaurant manager, nor do I ever want to be But i'm pretty sure it goes without saying that maybe you shouldn't call a meeting with the entire kitchen staff during dinner hours or ever during business hours. I'm gonna have to put this one on the management. As far as the one very nice lady working the cash register. You get 5 stars. P.S if you're just going for the salad bar, didn't really know I was going for just a salad bar. I think they have a Ruby Tuesday's in town. I also don't think it's $16 for just the...
