B&G Milkyway — Restaurant in Mitchell

We’ve been regularly visiting the newest ice cream place in Mitchell, B&G. I ordered a snickers avalanche and it was one more disappointment. I almost turned around and asked for the right product. No pieces of snickers detectable in it. No snicker type ingredients, so I’m not sure why it’s called snickers. We’ve had this experience so many times since they’ve opened, and despite reading similar reviews and responses from the owners stating they’ll address it, it’s not improving.

The ice cream is better than Zesto, but, if you want a flavor profile for what it costs, go to Zesto. Stick to basic vanilla or chocolate shakes at B&G and save your money. Butterscotch shakes have no flavor. They haven’t created a positive repeatable method of ensuring flavors are added the same by all the kids working there. B&G just can’t seem to offer an avalanche or flavored shake worth buying. Again, I’ve been disappointed dozens of times this spring so far. Pretty sure they’ve had enough chances by now. I’m only getting vanilla..

We stopped for a late lunch on a Thursday. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Our order was ready in just a couple of minutes and it tasted great. The atmosphere for this fun, retro drive-in is brilliant. Loved sitting outside, under the red-umbrella shaded tables watching the traffic go by. Definitely save room...

I've had better burgers at other establishments around town. Portions are pretty small. 3 little spoonfuls of potato salad and beans is all you get with their burger basket. The staff seemed friendly at least. But overall the burger and portions are not worth what they are asking for. More than likely...
