Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Mobile

The staff were very kind and inviting but my goodness the place was filthy. I cam in for their $4.99 special with 3 other friends to see how they had updated (considering the new signs and etc) and it's worse than it used to be. The tables hadn't been wiped down and some had trash on them. I can understand if they were busy but it was just us plus maybe 2-3 other families so not busy at all. The ice part of the drink machine has black stuff all over the inner part of it right where the ice comes out and some on the clear protector on the outside.... There were only two containers for red pepper flakes and one was being kept near the drink station? But they were clogged and sticky? Regarding pizza, there was no stuffed crust items, no supreme like items. Hardly any pizza on the buffet.... like can they only start a pizza every now and then??? Again staff wasn't the problem, food wasn't like the worst but definitely not worth the price you pay and not even worth it with the coupon through 11/14 for the buffet for $4.99/person. But even then drinks are like $3.00 a cup of $5 for their refillable one. Without a coupon, for 2 people it's like $25.... Staff is nice but that basically the extent. Pizza is also extremely thin, like I'd rather spend $25 at dominoes for 2 large pizzas that actually have depth, and width to them... Also their Alfredo sauce in the pasta section they had out did not seem fresh at all. It was smooth in the very middle then clumpy like old cravy on the outsides...????? I may being too critical but they have definitely gone down hill ... Also the bathrooms has greasy stuff all over the doors .. not just near the handles..... Toilet paper all over the floor, like y'all it's not busy in there either.... A little goes a long way to improve an experience but customer service attitude doesn't save this one. I've been going to this CiCi's for over 10 years and, for a long time, it was very good. However, the service has really gone down while the price has gone up. Used to be around 3 bucks for a pretty good pizza and a pretty good selection. It wasn't high quality as Pizza Hut or PaPa Johns, but very good for the price. You got REAL silverware with REAL plates and, this was a bonus, they had people come by and clean your table. Now, they give you plastic tableware (try slicing a piece of pizza with a plastic knife) and you are supposed to dump your own trash and leave your nasty plate on top of a pile of nasty plates left by others. The salad bar was decent, with just the basic stuff, lettuce, olives, tomatoes, etc. with several salad dressings. I went the other day and they only had 3 salad dressings, none of my favorite (thousand island). I asked one of the employees about it, she looked annoyed that I was bothering her, and said, "We out of dat" and walked away without waiting for anything else from me. I decided, then and there, this was the last time I was going to CiCi's. Their price is $5.99 plus the drink. That's the same price as Pizza Hut down the road and their pizza is MUCH, MUCH better anyway. They only have the buffet at lunch, but that is okay as well.

OH, I almost forgot. The bathroom at this place makes the average gas stations BR look like Donald Trumps bathroom. It was NASTY!! I don't know what happened, but there are a couple of guys who were managers that are now gone and I suspect that was when it went downhill. Service was horrible. Not sure if they were short staffed or what. I took my 3 kids to eat here 1/15/24. They did not have regular crust only flat bread crust pizza. I'm guessing they ran out of regular crust. The wait time on pizza's was horrible! We literally did more sitting and waiting on pizza to come out, than eating. When A pizza did come out, it was one at a time. For the crowd that was in there which was the dinner crowd, one pizza was gone after three people got to it. My daughter had finally gotten a piece of pepperoni pizza, only to drop it on the floor when she got to the table, she literally cried because she was very hungry after waiting and waiting on just pepperoni. She was upset because she couldn't eat and had to wait again. I ended up giving her my plain cheese FLATBREAD (cuz thats all the had) slices I had got for myself. Just so she could have something to eat. The plates kept running out over and over. We had to use bowls to put pizza in when no plates were available. The trash cans were flooded with food/ plates. People were leaving their dishes on the tables when they left because there was no where to put them. The bathroom had no tissues to wipe your hands, the place in general was not well kept. I will not be back to the Airport location. I would rather drive to the CiCi's...
