The price you pay for electric is insane. The staff inside are the rudest no manners have no work ethic absolutely no people skills. Im speaking from my own experience when I say things. They wanted me to pay a $700.00 deposit for my home. And then turn around and pay a $500.00 deposit on a detached garage/shed on the same property. Never heard of anything like this ever. After visiting the office the very next day a woman rudely try to tell me that there's 2 homes and I was trying to get electric for free. Yes it's 10acres ,pond,house,pool and the garage/shed that is separate. Now to my knowledge she has never been there, never offered to send anyone out to see what is what. I used to brag to all of my out of state family about how reasonable our rates are to theirs, and how great their customer service is. But, standing in the line the last few months, at the place on Airport, I saw people in tears, with no job, no money, children and sick people at home, and the look of non caring from the ladies behind the counter was terrible. With everything going on, you would think compassion would be there. Except for one lady. I didn't see any caring. And I did not see a lot of help happening. I wish I had the money, I would stand in that place and help those people out. I know that Alabama Power donates a lot of money to different charities. Seems that it is needed for their customers. Mother in law was sent home from hospital after o.h.surgery with machines to help her heart adjust and they cut her power off for non-payment, which is understandable, but they get it without any attempt to ask us if we wanted to pay it before they cut it off and then after I explained the situation to them and they still refused to wave the reconnection fee. Then after asking for her mgr, she argued with me saying I lied and told her it was my wife, not my m-i-l who had surgery. Very heartless rude, disrespectful lady. But it's not like you go to another place to get your power from. Anyways the point is don't expect any help from them especially during the pandemic! But I hope you have a better experience!!
