Waffle House — Restaurant in Mobile

I have to say this is probably the worse experience I have ever had at a Waffle House. When we came in there was only seating available at the high bar but it had not been cleaned so waiting for it to be cleaned. At this time stood in front of the area waiting for it be be cleaned and no one had greeted us. After some time another waitress that was taking care of a large party had to come from her area and greeted us. She then had to come back later and clean off the area for us because we were still waiting. After we were able to sit then our waitress Hannah decided we were worth talking to. She took our order and we even checked with her to make sure it was correct. We then proceeded to wait where in the mean time they choose to bring us the check before we received the check before I received any of my food. After 45 minutes we received our food which we were very displeased with. We ask for our waffles to be cooked lightly but that hey were so hard til one had to recooked. The chili was so watered down til the sauce was pooled under the hash browns and to top it off there was grits smeared under my hash brown plate. Our waitress was not attentive and often left us without our beverages so when the chef had a free moment he came to refill our drinks. Took way too long to take my order like 20 mins. The waitress had a dry way of communicating. She overlooked me for about 20mins.She only acknowledged me after i followed her with my eye's for so long. If i didn't know better she had an idgaf kind of attitude. By the time she took my order i was upset. As she took my order i was very clear on what i wanted and how i wanted it... If took another 45 to 50 mins for them to give me my food and cash me out. To make matters worse! By the time i got my food it was totaly prepared wrong! My overall service sucked and i waited way to long for my food to be made wrong. It was between 2 to 3:45am. A time of morning nobody has time to play about anything. I went to this waffle house because at that time of morning. I just knew they were going to be on point with my order. And give the great service I'm used to at this location. don't have time to play and I'm sure you feel the same way. I never had bad service here till now. I am a for life customer but i will not be going back to this location on Old Shell & University in Mobile, AL. I don't think they deserve any stars for the service i got plus the time i had to wait. The only reason i didn't cancel my order is because i was hungry. So i guess bad service is better than none. Thanks for the burnt...

I went Christmas evening after church with my husband and two children. This was our first time eating Waffle House and it took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged, the waitress was nice but a bit scattered. She took our order and we thought she had placed it then she came back about 5 minutes later and asked what drinks we had ordered then stated she was going to bring our drinks once she places our order. The sweet tea was bitter and old and my coke was diet coke. When we got our food it was bland, so not what we were expecting. Then when we went to pay I asked if we could include the tip on the payment and she said yes so I added her tip up with our total and it came to $50 even and I guess it wasn't what she wanted because when the payment drafted out of my account a payment of $60 came from Waffle House. I'm so confused how people can do something like this, I wonder how many people she does this to? I will never go back and will remember to carry cash for tips from now on....
