East Coast Wings + Grill — Restaurant in Mocksville

This store makes me angry because I have tried several times, and my order is NEVER correct. The hostesses that I report it to are rude, and I don’t believe they inform their manager because that would mean owning up to their inept service. The last time I was here in person I tried to complain and the hostess does not even look old enough to be working! She could have cared less that my order was wrong, and I watched her coworkers keep asking her to please help and do her job instead of leaving it on them while she stands around. She appeared to be in middle school.

Specifically, I pay extra for my sauces and they ALWAYS always leave them out. Whether it’s ranch for a salad or wings, or sauce for wings (a whole nother issue), or even worse, the things that are supposed to come with nachos. They even left out chocolate dip that was supposed to come with a dessert I ordered and without the sauce, it’s just fried cinnamon dough. Yuck! My nachos NEVER come with the pico, salsa or sour cream that I pay for.

Another big deal is that whenever I do order the boneless wings, they come very dry. I order hot buffalo with no extra flavor, and the wings are just dry breading. I put notes asking for my wings to be saucy or extra saucy, and although I prefer it done in the kitchen at the time they are made, to be extra sure I pay over a dollar for an extra tiny container of hot sauce- I pay for it and it’s on my order but they never send it even if I also add a note saying I paid for it, please send it. I order the buffalo chicken salad this last time and the grilled chicken in the salad was not buffalo flavored, it was just salt and pepper. I am sick and tired of my food NEVER being right. I love the nachos, salads, and wings when I eat in because my waitress makes sure my food is right. Some of their teenagers who waitress are awesome. But the hostesses are lazy and don’t care and I don’t know why the kitchen cannot read orders.

This restaurant could be decent if they at least tried to get my to-go orders right, but they just don’t care. I’m TIRED of dry wings and paying for extra sauces to remedy this that I don’t get!!! At this point I’ve been ripped off so many times on sauces and not wanting to eat food missing ingredients that I give up and no longer come here. My mother, myself, and my baby went in around 2pm on a Sunday. When we walked in, we stood there (baby in my arms) for at least 5 minutes before being sat, no one else was in line. Once the hostess came, I asked for a booth (it’s easier on myself and my baby if we’re in a booth rather than a table) she told me no. She said the server was on break for that section. So immediately I’m a little in shock, I mean why can’t someone else pick up that table? Not to mention there were multiple booths open. Anyways, we continued to our table— my mom had to grab the high chair because the hostess forgot I guess. We sat down and waited for about 15 minutes with no service at all. We finally stopped someone and ask if they were our server, she said no. If you have ever sat at a restaurant without a drink or anything for a 1 year old to mess with for 15 minutes, you’d understand how my child was about to absolutely lose it because she was thirsty but we still hadn’t been waited on. Long story short, after 20 minutes we got up and walked out. One of the servers tried to stop my mom and said the waitress was on her way, I just shook my head and continued out the door. 20 minutes is wayyyyyy longer than it takes to at least get a drink order. Been going here for years and always had so so service. But today was the worst yet. I’m ok waiting on things just be honest with me. To be lied to about why I’m not getting what I ordered, that’s just another level of sorry.

After being seated, we (a table of 3) ordered our drinks at which time I ordered a beer. A few minutes later all the drinks other than my beer arrives, no biggie that’s common. We ordered our appetizer and then a few minutes later our food, still no beer but again no biggie. Waitress said the bar was backed up. Our appetizer arrived and still no beer, told the bar was still backed up, ok no biggie. Then our food arrives, bar still backed up. At this point it’s not feeling right due to people are leaving the restaurant not coming in. We eat nearly our entire meal at which time I tell the waitress to just cancel my beer. She said “I’ll go check on it”. At this point nearly 30 minutes later someone comes and says “I told them we are out of the beer you asked for, what do you want”. At this point I want the truth and nothing more.
