Damian's — Restaurant in Modesto

OK so I’ve been craving posole for a minute my boyfriends coworker had bought me some but my boyfriend left it at work and it’s been there for over three days and I couldn’t wait any longer so I searched posole near me. (If I missed spelled it I’m deeply sorry )

I call around and every place I called legit said they only carry it on weekend , my heart was shattered.

So Damien’s was the very last restaurant that I had caught and I asked you carry posole, she said yes and I asked if you can make it spicy she said yes - the lady over the phone was super sweet asked everything that i wanted and double checked befor hanging up , she was also so sweet when I pick up my food

My family and I went there today around 12:40 pm. Took 10 minutes or more to even be acknowledged. When we were acknowledged and were finally seated, drink orders were taken. Drinks were promptly back with stale chips and salsa. We perused the menu, picked what we wanted and waited. 10 minutes go by, We wait. 20 minutes go by, We wait. Finally someone shows up to take our order(mind you as other servers are just walking back and forth). We place our orders and I asked order taker for refills, she just walked away. I had to flag someone down 10mins later to get drink refills. We wait and wait, still no food. I flag someone down and ask how much longer? The person said let me check and never came back. Everyone was really irritated by the lack of service and disorganization. It seemed like only one lady was taking orders and the others were chip and drink bringers or whatever. Food was sub par. We were passing through Modesto and had dinner at Damian's. We were seated immediately, given delicious, fresh and flakey chips with salsa and bean dip right away.

We ordered and had our dinner in under 10 minutes. I had vegetarian, Chino's Special. It was a corn tortilla quesadilla with beans and then a Chile relleno and green sauce on top. It was very flavorful without being too salty. The green sauce was excellent with a hint of lime. It was a generous amount of food! One of the best Mexican dishes I have had. My husband had the vegetarian Supreme Burrito and he felt that the name fit perfectly. It was huge, had lots of ingredients, and it was very flavorful. We both would return to this restaurant if we were in this area again. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great. We highly recommend...
