I'm going to be honest. I am a DoorDasher & have been a Dasher for many years. Today I was pinged to go to KFC, but my mind unconsciously drove to Wendy's. (I typically get pinged to Wendy's a lot more often. That's why.) When I pulled into the parking lot, I clicked "arrived at store". As I got out of my car, I realized I was at the wrong restaurant. I got back into my car & drove next door to KFC. Upon exiting my car, I was met by the manager. He proceeded to lecture me. He asked if I was there to pick up an order. I said, "Yes. For DoorDash". He then began telling me that their restaurant was prompted that I had arrived 2 mins ago. He told me that I couldn't do that. Then he walked me to the entrance & told me, at the door, that I can only confirm "arrived at store" when I'm at the door. Then once I get the order, I have to click "confirm" before leaving the restaurant. I didn't have the energy to argue or explain to him what happened so I just told him, "Ok. Thank you". I know that there are some Dashers that may not follow rules or do things incorrectly, but that does not represent ALL DoorDashers! I take my job seriously & I perform with professionalism. I'm a human being & I make mistakes. Please don't degrade me or make it sound like ALL Dashers are incompetent. Also, by making me hit the confirm button so quickly, I don't even have a chance to look at my app screen & see what the order is. I'm not just going to pick up an order without looking at the receipt. Thanks for making me have a mental breakdown.
The craziest thing is, it's not my first rodeo going to KFC to pick up a DoorDash order. I've seen the manager & he has seen me many times. If I'm treated with disrespect next time, I will remember to be vocal about it & defend myself. My other option is to report the disrespect to DoorDash support.
As for KFC food, the chicken is ok, but not as great as Popeyes. On bad days & times, the chicken is very, very dry. Customer service is a hit or miss. Some employees are nice & others, not so much. Some are rude & have attitudes.
I will continue to do my job as a DoorDasher & pick up orders for my customers, but as far as being a KFC customer, forget about it! I will take my business else where.
EDIT: I just picked up a DoorDash order earlier. 12.11.24. I was met by a female. She was holding onto the order like hostage. She asked me to "confirm the order". Again, if you're going to tell or ask us Dashers to confirm the order, you need to give us time to look at what the order is! I need to see if the order/items on my app screen matches the receipt. DoorDash now requires us to take photos of the receipt before the order can be confirmed as picked up. After I follwed the prompts, the employee still held onto the bag. She then asked me, in a snarky tone, "did you confirm it yet?!". Hellooooo you saw me follow the prompts & confirm it.
If your employees & manager can't treat Dashers with kindness & respect then I'd suggest you shut down your business. And please don't sit there & say it's my fault. I've done my job for years & all the restaurants around town or in other cities, never once has the manager or employees treated me with disrespect like your location. I am not the only person complaining about your manager or employees, so open your eyes & ears! Either change, do better or shut down! I am fucking tired of being treated like crap everytime I go there.
If I could, I would give you -000000000 stars! I would never be...

I popped in to catch up on emails and other items and just sat in the lobby. I didnât order anything at first and sat there enjoying the evening time.
Lobby was really clean and spotless and only 1 other couple was dining in. Iâm not usually dining inside âfast food restaurantsâ and typically itâs strictly drive through. But after a long drive and work from the day, I just wanted to relax and whine down. This location was the perfect place! After I finished, I then decided to order a small meal, popcorn chicken, my favorite Pepsi, and a biscuit . Bobby took my order and was super helpful and gave me my drink before my food came out. There was 3 other workers besides him, I believe the manager another male and a female.
After enjoying another few moments there, I realized, whereâs my food? Itâs been 15 mins since I ordered and they forgot to make it/bring it, but as I wasnât too hungry, I went back to the counter, Bobby realized I havenât received my order and told the cooks âhey whereâs the orderâ and quickly gave it to me and gave me an extra biscuit. Food was fresh warm and tasty that I decided to stay some more and finish it! Delicious and thanks to Bobbyâs incredible customer service,...
Read moreIt took three tries the call in my order you finally answered at 12 Sharp to check my order then asked me how long would it take me to get there I told him I was in his Lobby it took and 19 minutes to put in my order you fill my lunch order put the most driest chicken that they had crushed my biscuit I never had a drumstick and thigh so dry from this place before if they're going to pay him $15 plus an hour they should put in $15 worth the effort instead of an $8 worth of effort. By 12 :25 I finally got my lunch . I had only 5 minutes to eat. I believe the One employee have an attitude. It does not make sense not open the lobby and take orders at the cash register not everybody has a vehicle that can make it through the drive-thru not everybody wants a download fast food apps you would think the owners would want to make as much money as I can instead of less. I waited for cars that weren't even there when I ordered to get their order. I did not recommend this place...
