Okinawa Sushi & Steakhouse — Restaurant in Modesto

First and foremost, woke up hungry and decided to try out this recently new sushi steakhouse restaurant that just opened. Service was very professionally presented. Host offered to sit at the bar or table. I love how they have a booths! Ambiance was awesome. Service was great! Very attentive ..I can’t remember the persons name but she had a great attitude and quite nice! Food came out in the right manageable time. I couldn’t decide what to order so I ordered the hibachi stuff like beef and shrimp with noodles . Noodles had the perfect texture nice and oily and slightly chewy texture in other words not bland nor dried! The filet mignon was super tender and very fresh , it complimented the noodles very well! Also order some raw sushi rolls and fried ones to try out. And omg I’ll tell you what it tasted like it was straight from the ocean! Not in a bad way at all! But very fresh tasting compare to other sushi places ive been before in town. All and all I really can’t wait u til the bar opens up! The music they play is also so chill. Great place to have a quick lunch or dinner either your by yourself or with a big group! Perfect environment for a date night aswell! It’s worth a trip driving across town! Update: I went back and owner took care of the issues service 10/10. Food 10/10 nice and juicy steak rice on point veggies delish! Host and service amazing people very kind they have their best service they attended to all customers I will definitely keep coming back!

I came to this place because of a popular foodie with paid review. I am also a foodie and like to do reviews unpaid. I got the chicken and steak habatchi plate. It was filled with veggies 4 pieces of DRIED STEAK and 4 pieces of dried chicken. Dried rice. I rate my plate a 0 it says it’s suppose to come with yum yum sauce service never gave me any. I ordered my daughter chicken noodle bowl same thing filled with noodles veggies 4 pieces of chicken and it was dry!! Sushi ordered 2 orders it was OLD the fish had an old smell tasted beyond weird. Service was about a 3 the services didn’t attend proper They messed up on my sisters plate and didn’t bother to remake it up until we were leaving. Save your money and do not go here! Not recommended. Take your money somewhere else. If you know your food, sushi, seafood or steaks then this is not the place for you..don't bother giving it a chance like I did. The service sucked and so did the food. The sushi rolls has no flavor, the hibachi combo was will over cooked, the rice was hard, most of the juice from my dinner leaked out including a supposedly seal container of soup. To the owners and managers, No1 wants to hear employees talk or complain about tips. No1 wants to hear employees and manager talk about schedules and unallocated hours where no answers were provided except to check back later. Ez whistle blower situation here. Surely some violations of labor laws going on here. My food was left out and unattended for a long time. No1 cared to greet me or ask me while I was waiting for my food.
