While it's definitely different from the once before location in Westside. I'm going with just a food review for the 4* I remember eating at Le's in the west from 98-15' and it was one of my favorite places to go whether I planned on staying to eat or grabbing to go. No matter what it was always poppin and yet clean. This place in the north is kind of a downer. Maybe it was just going in right before closing I'm not sure as I haven't been back yet. Aside from that though the sandwiches, papaya salad and spring rolls were on point as always. The avocado pearl was just as good as always. Still get 5 pepper in my salad and still hot as expected. Regardless of my personal view I highly suggest this place. When it was in the west it was like a home to me and I'm still not even sure if it's just a remake or owned by the same person so judging based off of the previous location could be absolutely distorted. Anyways price went up a small amount as Saigon's are now 4 instead of 3 but that ain't nothing to complain about. Guarantee you'll enjoy your sandwich if you enjoy a Saigon sandwich in the first place or the other items I mentioned. Will add to my review each time I eat there so I can give you more insight on the atmosphere and...
Read moreI've been wanting to come here for a year and a half as friends have told me this was the best place to go if I wanted a noodle soup. I came in today not feeling my best and I simply asked for beef pho' and the lady just stared at me for a long time in a way that was not friendly at all. She finally said "we don't have beef pho'.. you can go anywhere to many pho' places anywhere around here. I am a sandwich place." I said that I was simply wanting to order and be a customer that if she didn't have beef I would be fine with another flavor and gestured to her Noodle soup option on her menu board. She then said that she could not serve me. She gestured with her pen and tablet that she was eager to take the order of the ONE customer that was standing behind me who had just walked in. I informed her that I simply wanted to be a customer order a noodle soup that and didn't know why she was treating me so unkindly. She had zero patience and seemed HIGHLY offended that I came in attempting to order pho' All she could say at that point was sorry and she REFUSED to take an order from me. I will sadly not be returning to this place and do feel terribly...
Read moreThe sandwiches used to be delicious, but ever since Lee moved to the Carver location it's been different. The bread is different it's an entire different type of bread and they don't BBQ the meat anymore like they used to. The price also went up to twice as much. For that price I rather just go get a burrito than a over priced sandwich filled with carrots with fatty meat on a chewy French roll. I used to get the pork patty with veggies and they used to cook it. The last time I went they were trying to sell me a cold pork patty.. Really? If that's the case I could go buy some pork patty's from my local Asian store. The only thing I recommend are the small egg rolls.. Everything else has just gone downhill. The noodle soup is extremely greasy I had a ring of oil on the top. The rice porridge soup is okay, but also very Greasy. The last time my husband got food there we were dissatisfied. So we been going to Saigon one when we crave...
