Lee's Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Modesto

I know during this time that service is all take out due to the epidemic that is going on currently. I called and tried to place a phone order, that way by the time I got there my food would be ready for me to pick up. I was on hold for 33 minutes (15 at home and then the drive) I was able to drive to Lee's Chinese kitchen upon arrival there were three people inside who had already ordered and there were four or five cars in the parking lot waiting. The man behind the counter asked me how he can help me and I explained to him I was the person on hold, I was trying to place an order for a half hour. He picked up the phone looked at it he laughed and hung up the phone. Before I can place my order the phone rang and he proceeded to take the person on the phones order before mine. I waited for another for 5 minutes for him to get off the phone so I can place the order. After placing my order I was told it was going to be 15 minutes and I needed to wait outside. Hade my family's heart not been set on Chinese food already we would have definitely gone somewhere else. My 15 minutes wait for my 4 combo plates ended up taking me additional 28 minutes in total it took me and hour just to get my food. Not including my 15...

I hope it re-opens soon! Best Chinese Food Ever! *Added: finally reopened! The first week was real Shakey... So busy with loyal customers like me waiting 4 hours for food and seating... It was crazy! We watched people literally yell at each other over sitting at a table... This is how GOOD the food is people. All you one star posters who are giving evil reviews are total fools. You had to have heard everyone around you talking about the place, and if you had a bad experience, did you go back and talk to the owners at all? They were there all day every day. I hear they found some new help that they didn't get a chance to hire beforehand as they never expected such a community outpour of customers all clamoring for their return. Everything is almost back to normal there and the food is best in town! Give it another go and if you are scared of potential wait times, order over the phone from their To go menu!...

I called in take out on Aug 6th a large order had to repeat order at least 3 times it should have been an omen right! arrived a bit early waited 15 minutes busy place get the food home broccoli beef sweet and sour is missing I called spoke to the lady that took and completed my order she says you come in next time we fix for you...today 14 Sep2019 we came for lunch and I reminded the same lady of my order snafu she didn't believe us and stated why we didn't fix this problem the same day loud enough for the whole restaurant heard they offered to sell me the missing orders half off...I work very hard for a little something special for my family and we get bent over the table ill not eat take out here again by the way the food was horrible and they wanted a tip don't be in the business if you are in it to take folks...
