Myself and 3 other ladies were ignored when we walked in the door and there were no carts the three of us had to go through the parking lot and gather our own carts. Then later on I needed something to go around a vase to complete a project and was told by an employee in the fabric section to go over where they sell little girl hair ties, my project was for a male. Hair ties are not something that you wrap around a vase with flowers in it. The other employee did nothing but chat with someone else. After walking around in circles a few times I went back into the fabric section and the other employee had said that they didn't have any bows or anything that could go around the vase but she did have ribbon with mustache on it. I then commented I would have to purchase the whole spool in order to have a little ribbon to wrap around the base and she said yes I was wondering why I wouldn't be able to purchase just enough ribbon. She said that all I have to do is cut. She did nothing in order to help me she didn't even offer to show me where this ribbon was at she was speaking of and the comment she made was of no sense I had nothing at home to cut. I then ventured back into the floral section where I had been given the utmost customer care by Sam and Cynthia but they were nowhere to be found. I found a manager of sort and told her of my anger of how I was treated the moment I walked in the door regarding the cards, and the laziness of the two employees in the fabric section she also at the time she was showing a lack of interest and continually looking over my shoulder. When Sam appeared the manager Michelle, pawned me off on her. The customer service was horrendous from being told that they were busy regarding the cart situation to the lazy response towards helping a customer find what they need and not being able to find an employee to help you. Target, Wal-Mart and Big Lots get busy also but you don't see customers looking throughout the parking lot for carts nor would an employee just send a customer to a section of the store for a product unless they were positive that what the customer needed was in that section, they also would exhaust all means to help find it! I'm positive that they also would NOT suggest to tie a female hair tie around a vase being made for a 74 year old male!! Except for Sam and Cynthia in the floral section my visit there was awful!! I will never step foot in there again!! I'll stick with the professionals at the big boxes or Michael's and...
Read moreAllow me to introduce you to the secret ingredient of Hobby Lobby Store 475 in Modesto California â Amanda in the Framing Department. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of having Amanda's expert guidance when it comes to selecting the perfect matting for painting made for me by a friend. You see, I have a bit of a challenge when it comes to matching colors, as I'm practically color blind. Amanda, however, possesses an impeccable sense of taste that never ceases to amaze me.
Five years ago, during my very first visit, Amanda's warm and friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease. She took the time to understand my preferences and the essence of each painting, ensuring that the matting she selected was nothing short of perfect. What struck me even more was her incredible memory - she not only remembered me but also recalled details about the paintings from my previous visits. It was as if our conversations seamlessly picked up where we left off, regardless of the time that had passed between visits.
Amanda's meticulous eye for color combinations is unparalleled. I wholeheartedly trust her judgment each time I walk through the doors of Hobby Lobby. As a result, my wall now proudly displays 12 of my friend's incredible paintings, each beautifully matted with colors thoughtfully handpicked by Amanda herself.
I can't emphasize enough how extraordinary Amanda is as a people person and as a color expert. Her infectious smile and genuine enthusiasm for her work make every interaction a delight. Thanks to Amanda's unwavering dedication to her craft, I have found a trusted partner for all my matting needs. As long as she is there, I will continue to entrust Hobby Lobby with my treasured paintings.
Thank you, Amanda, for consistently brightening my day with your outstanding service. You are, without a doubt, the reason why Hobby Lobby remains my go-to destination for matting, and I am incredibly grateful for your exceptional talent and warm...
Read moreIt is great when you need a hobby supply, the selection is large and very diverse. Look online for a coupon (usually 40% off one item). They are not open on Sundays, so the staff can be with their Families and I respect that about them. They are not the least expensive place and the service level is in desperate need of improvement. I need one item and I knew where it would be. It took only three minutes to locate it and return to the checkout area. A massive line of at least 16 parties was formed with one register open. While I waited a cheery woman with a cart full of Christmas decor was sprucing up the elevated displays near each grouping of registers. She paid no attention that her happy go lucky attitude was only making people in line more frustrated. Finally a second person arrived, and immediately called for another cashier as well. The original person was being trained on the register - perhaps the trainer could also show her how to call for back up. Now the line splits into three, but each are advancing at a snails pace. Finally after twenty minutes of waiting I was assisted. My transaction wss quickly handled. As I left the store I noticed that the person working on the displays had at least completed one of the empty registers. If she is there, it would have been nice to have her trained on a register so she could have helped out. This item is going with me to FL, and since there is a hurricane coming, I needed to pick this up here. Seems like either poor management or a complete...
