House of Potsticker — Restaurant in Modesto

The inside and outside of the place look bad, me and my friend figured we would ignore that because you don’t judge a book by the cover. We proceeded to go in and spend about $30. The walnut honey pawn’s sauce was essentially just butter and only butter. It was like it was just put in flipped around in Crisco the sauce had gross curdy butter texture. there was absolutely no honey taste at all. The chicken chow mein was fine! We got sesame chicken, assuming that it would be a light, crispy, sesame chicken. What we got in return was actually a bright red sugar chicken with thick viscous red 40 sauce, when you pulled one piece of chicken away from the next it would leave saliva-like strings almost like cheese. Our meals came with soup that was viscous and gelatin like with white chunks of no idea what it was in there. As I’m writing this review, my head hurts and my friends stomach is upset. Not to mention the carpet inside the restaurant is dirty, The TV was playing an the news, talking about a man who killed his entire family, which I gotta say it’s not what you wanna be watching while you’re trying to eat. They left the TV on that for the entire hour or so we were there and in the middle of the restaurant is a water fountain that flows into a small bowl, holding no more than maybe 2 gallons of water full of fish. My issue with my order is the online ordering app Beyond Menu. The app charges a $6.98 delivery fee, I paid an additional $15 (20%+) tip to the driver. That's fine. My problem is that I provided instructions on the delivery; gate code, apartment location, and instructions to leave on the bench by the front door/ring doorbell. None of my instructions were given to the driver. Instead, the driver nearly left because I didn't realize he was texting me with issues. I had to meet him, let his car through the gate, and direct him to my apartment. The whole point of ordering online and paying a delivery premium is for convenience and this was definitely an inconvenience. I have toddlers in my home, and I wanted a no-contact delivery. Then, I'm being nagged at by the driver that I should make sure to provide instructions next time and that they get it!! What the hell? And he's trying to tell me to make sure he gets his stars?? I called House of Potsicker to complain about the order and they didn't care, just saying it's not their fault and to contact Beyond Menu (which is their preferred delivery service btw). The man at the cashier is crazy. I went to order one dish to go. And then he asked me some comments on favoritism of Taiwan. I said I do not like them. Then he shouted against me and said do not sell you food from the restaurant. He is insane. He always looks at me like know me or something. I barely know him. I think he has some issue. Some kind of authority should go check on this guy. I became House of Pot sticker customer since year 2000, this guy operated in since 2012. I think they should close down if they are not good to customer. This is an abuse. Even though my spouse is from Taiwan, I knew a lot some other do not know. I like people honest and simple. Easy to talk with the feet on the ground. The food of course taste good, it is all Chinese food. I am Chinese. If I were the authority, I would not allow this guy to handle my Chinese food, just like panda express using the PANDA logo. They are not from china. Mostly, background is no education and uncivilized. It is easy to attract gangster attention. I wanted my hometown to serve delightful and enjoyable meal for me and my family and my friends.
