Marcella's Restaurant — Restaurant in Modesto

The last 3 times my friend Tim Atkinson. In a booth in the bar. There were only 3 booth 3 people in the dineing room. 2 hrs latrer we finally had them pack it to go. I got home with a box of nothing but lettuce and tomatoes. No tortilla no shreddrf beef. Tim orderef a 3 dinner meal a.nd just had a taco. Had to pay for whole meal. And. Difent even get any thng but 2 1/2 margeritas. I kmow. You time off is precioussweetheart.....but when your not there things are aren't running a very tight ship. Therr must have been a new chef....or a new chef i don't know about.we love you and i hope you the best....and your resturaunt. Too!!! But who pays 14.99 for lettuce and tomatoes....and get charged fo a 3 meal deal, with just a taco? Check your staff. The bartender was the only one that had it ❤ together. She was pretty much...

I don't know how this restaurant has so many five-star reviews. When you first walk in all you smell is like a musty smell which must have been coming from the carpets we decided to try it anyways because sometimes the older restaurants still have the best food. The salsa was disgusting and the beans had no flavor I had to and salt. I ordered the shrimp tacos and when it came they put some weird sauce on the rice which was undercooked and the beans had no flavor the shrimp tacos were very greasy and the lettuce was old there was like 1 shrimp per taco. We also got a chicken enchilada the chicken was just boiled chicken with no flavor and the sauce that they put on the enchilada was watery. This was by far the worst "Mexican" restaurant we have...

Service was excellent, the waitress was polite and quick.

The food how ever, I would put it as really expensive lower flavored Taco Bell. The salsa was really tomatoey, the red sauce had no flavor on my enchilada, the chili renoe was okay. The taco though... the taco was a boxed taco shell it was literally a Taco Bell style taco. My friend who had a burrito had a red sauce that came with it and it was ketchup with sugar in it.

If you are a yuppie who can't handle anything with flavor or spice you probably love it like some of the review I read on this place already. If you are some one who like flavor and spice at a reasonable price look elsewhere.
