OneTeaHouse — Restaurant in Modesto

Just stopped in to check this place out and was very impressed! The workers are young, but so friendly and helpful. I asked for drinks they would recommend and the worker helping me walked me through the menu and made it really easy for me to understand my options and to make a decision. Excellent customer service! Also, they serve boba, tea, and coffee here, so there're options for everyone. I tried the passion fruit juice w/ agar jelly and aloe vera, which is awesome if you like passion fruit (I would start out at 30% sugar though, just to be on the safe side. You can always add more sugar later!) I also got a cafe Americano, hot and black, since I was in need of some energy, and it was so yummy! The place itself is so clean and the style is very modern, yet warm and colorful. They have a lot of tables where people can come in and stay and chill for awhile, just like any other tea or coffee shop. They even have games set up for people to play. What a cool little boba/tea/coffee shop! I'm so glad such a chill place with yummy drinks has opened up in Modesto! (And they're open til 10 pm, which is hard to find for a shop like this...

Ordered a Vietnamese egg coffee that was clearly pre made I expressed that I did not care for the flavor it tasted like milk I asked for a refund and denied the worker Ana was visibly irritated and made me feel very uncomfortable for expressing my dislike and said she doesn't refund so I asked for a strawberry milk tea and she said no exchanges however I told her they have done it before and then she said she ran out of boba but the next guest got boba she was clearly lying and was agitated over me asking for a exchange the customer service is very poor she continued to say it's very sweet however she didn't ask me for the sweet level like they do every time I'm there she was very rude and added extra sugar so I wouldn't like it I never brought up anything about the coffee being sweet I only mentioned it taste like straight milk I will never return back even though iv been coming there since they open she handed my milk tea saying it's very...

I’m pretty disappointed with the visit today. I guess this place is taken over by new owner. I decided to get the taro Boba pearl that’s on the menu and it said it was five dollars however on their register it’s $5.50 and they charge me an extra $.75 for the Boba pearl and additional $.35 for using Apple Pay. So my drink instead of being five dollars ended up being seven dollars. They’ll be the only seven dollars they’re getting out of me. I don’t think the owners know about how to run a business. Every other Boba store I’ve been to when they show the price on the menu that is the price on the menu.
