Had been going to this place for over a year, and honestly customer service was never their forte, but I have to admit their asada fries are extremely good, so I kept going back. My order was always relatively simple, nacho fries with asada/carnita and no lettuce. Somehow they managed to mess my order up, I’d say about once every three orders, to the point that even on their employees told me “no sure why you come here, they always mess up your food, I wouldn’t come back if I were you”. Today was the last time I was and will ever be there, it was the last drop. The younger shorter girl, was actually waking about behind the counter and taking orders while losing a “blunt” in her hand, yup, a blunt. The older lady that was there today, and the rest of them, including the “blunt girl” were just so entertained/distracted, talking and laughing with each other, that guess what? Yep, they screwed up my order yet again, this time they gave me asada/tongue. Far from being apologetic about it, the older lady, (which I know this is not an elegant 5 stars restaurant, but at least due to her age she should have some manners)..she just told the guys making the food they had messed up my order, and they all (like a happy family) laughed, and giggled and starting to jokingly and in a very amusingly way putting the blame on each other. At this point I had just had enough, so I went up to the counter and let them know that I was in a bit of a hurry, and asked them to fix my order so that I can get going. Older lady started to mock me and told the guy in the back..”hurry yo because he’s in a hurry” not apology, no sense of urgency to make my order right, no nothing. When they gave me my food, I asked the older lady to check my food and make sure that it didn’t have lettuce, (because they have added lettuce to my order countless times, when I had asked for it without it). At this point the lady must’ve been just soooooo done with me and my outrageous requests (to please serve me my order in the way I ordered and on a timely manner)..That she just half opened the container to “check” and told me “no lettuce” slid the food my way and turned around.
All this to say, you want good nacho fries? Go there, you want at least a decent customer service experience and be treated like a paying customer, who wants their food the way they order it and in a timely manner…DO NOT SET FOOD HERE.
I thought I could just put up with it, and I did for a year, but today was just too much, I work hard for my money, I am paying for the food, I am respectful, and just couldn’t continue to go there, just a waste.
I really hope the owner reads/sees this post, because I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way (based on other reviews)..if he/she hired people who have the minimal idea about what customer service entails and those employees have the willingness to put their customer service skills to use, this place would be...
Read moreI ordered 3 tacos today. One al pastor, one carnitas and one lengua. I absolutely love the food at this restaurant. By far this is my favorite Mexican in town.
My experiences have been very bad recently. Due to issues with the staff, 2 in particular. Before today, one of the cashiers was yelling at me to get my order over the loud music that was playing in the back. She then gave me an attitude when she couldn't hear my order. I'm sorry but the plexi glass, face masks and loud music might have had something to do with that fact that you couldn't hear me correctly.
Just to be clear, this establishment knows me very well since I'm there at least once a week.
Today the cashier Rosa, checked my food, put my receipts in the bag with my food knowing that my order was incorrect. There were three tacos de asada in the box. I love asada tacos..no big deal. But just knowing that she knew my order was wrong and gave it to me anyway irks me.
I get all the way back home and realize this when I open the box. It's 108 degrees out and I live a good distance away. I don't want to drive all the way back just to tell them that. So I called them 15 times until they finally answered. I was told that Rosa had just left and she threw away all the tickets so they couldn't prove what I had ordered. I said I have the receipt but I'm not driving back today with the food in hand. Then, out of nowhere, Rosa magically appears and asks what the problem is....I explain. She says bring it back I say it's too hot and I'm far away. Rosa then suggests that she fire her cook or suspend her for a week. I'm like what?! Why would you do that Rosa?? She says that she doesn't know what will make me happy?? So she suggested the above...there that will make you happy.
Not once did either of the two people I spoke with apologized for giving me the wrong order. Instead they lied and suggested firing their fellow employee. What type of customer service is this? I was and always am respectful until I am disrespected, which is why this review is going up.
I'm going back tomorrow to speak with the manager and hopefully she can redeem the actions of Rosa. Then I will consider deleting this review.
To be fair. The last time I had my order messed up, it was fixed with absolutely no issue the very next day. So I really do appreciate the gentleman who helped me that day.
Rosa, if you are reading this, please drop the attitude. I don't know what is going on in your head but that is not my problem. That is your problem and you deal with it without being disrespectful to your customers. Adiós Rosa, que tengas...
