Food is delicious, atmosphere is good very quiet, service however was horrible.. me and my wife were seated in after waiting for about 15 minutes at our table and our server passing us 3 times without so much as a glance she finally came to offer us drinks.. our server was as VERY even seemed overly attentive to the other tables which she only had about 5 we were overlooked almost the entire time we were there at times even having to get up and go ask for assistance. She then starts talking to the bus boy a couple tables away and waves her hand toward the other tables and says more money while gesturing money with her hand not realizing me and my wife would have been the best tippers in the restaurant if served properly.. I had a 120k car in the parkinglot and at a glance we didn’t look as though we had much money but even our casual outfits we had on my wife alone was wearing about 4000$.. so we made a point to say this within ear shot of our server and then low and behold she comes to our table more and finally asked us if we even wanted something simple such as a refill when we were already done with our food.. after waiting for about 10 minutes just to pay our tab we were fed up and went to the counter to pay I wasn’t going to leave a tip which generally I leave a generous one I still gave her 10 that she didn’t deserve but on a 76$ meal I would’ve given her 40 at least.. gave her 10 and within earshot I said it would’ve been more if we were served properly and walked out.. moral of this is don’t judge people bc of what you think they might or might not have.. hopefully that will be a learning lesson for Jessica...
Read moreMimi's is a typical chained restaurant with mediocre food. We came around 2pm on a Thursday and it was fairly busy. The house bread is madeleines (carrot cake variety) and french baguettes. I had a sample of their Corn Chowder which seemed a bit buttery however lacked overall flavor thus it wasn't something I ordered. Instead, I chose 3 for $10.99. I opted for the 5 Cheese Grilled Cheese, French Onion Soup, and Mixed Fruit yet requested only pineapple. The grilled cheese was a half sandwich and haphazardly put together - the bread was askew and cheese was hanging on out halfway on either side of the sandwich. Not sure how long it had been sitting before being served because had it been a fresh and ooey-gooey grilled cheese one could slide the sandwich into place, but the cheese had hardened enough. I dare say I've made better GC at home and I absolutely used ketchup to eat it. The French Onion Soup was okay - I've had worse and I've had better. The pineapple was thin slices with the outer layer still on, not chunks one could simply put in their mouth. For this particular location, it could use a good deep cleaning. I've worked in restaurants where once a month all the severs came in to deep clean the dining room and others which had an extra host come in weekly to dust all areas, high and low. The blinds on the windows were caked with dust, there was someone's previous lettuce on my water cup, stalls out of toilet paper and the oddest thing...at first glance it appeared to be blood on the side of the toilet and onto the floor but closer inspection revealed more of a...
