My fiancé and I went on a date night here. The experience started off great. Our waitress was assertive and everything and from what I can tell the food world have been good. After about 20-30 minutes in the restaurant another family walks in and is seated. I would say the was maybe Indian. But it starts to get really hot to where we being to sweat and felt uncomfortable. By the way it is August in Modesto so it’s very hot and humid outside. So when the waitress pass I asked her can she turn the fans back on overhead. She tells me that the family across wanted it off. Then she just walked away. I begin to get a little agitated because first this is a restaurant and we was already sitting in this section comfortable but you allowed one group come in and change the atmosphere without considering the patrons in the facility. So my fiancé decides to get on the phone and call the front desk expecting to get the manager. He explained the situation to them. And the waitress comes over and plugs up a portable fan and turns it on blowing directly into my food. Now I’m to the point where I don’t wanna eat anymore. I begin to think why would I want to eat food with a fan blowing dust right at me. The waitress keeps explaining that she’s trying to please all the guest. I believe if this was true when the family came in and said it was too cold in that area they should have been seated somewhere more accommodating for them. And by the waitress telling me that the fan was not allowed to come on Because of this family didn’t want them on made the situation feel like discrimination. I only was able to take about 2 or 3 bites out of my food. But with the experience I went through I will never go back to this restaurant. This family money was not better than mine so I don’t understand why my fiancé and I was treated this way. I was spending my money the same as they was but, I was unable to do it as comfortable...
Read moreMy mom and I usually would go critique a new restraunt when they came to our town. We never got around to trying tresseties. I had always felt that they had so much business we really didn’t need to be convinced. I always felt they were over rated, but I never ate there, until the other night. My husband and I took a good friend to Tresseties who also shares a mutual interest in good food. It wasn’t our first choice , but since our first choice closed at 9:00 p.m. and it was 9:30 there weren’t a lot of other options to chose from at that time. So I put down my prejudgments and we went. When I received the menu I was a bit shocked at the prices , but we were hungry and had the extra money that day so what the heck. If I was spending the money I wanted to fully experience the whole situation. Our friend ordered steak which was prepared in a unique way, my husband ordered fettuccine Alfredo whith muscles, prawns and shrimp, And I ordered the lamb chops uniquely placed around a nice size serving of sweet potatoes mashed then on the outer circle on my plate were arranged fresh lightly steamed (I believe) baby string beans nicely done so to maintain all the vitamins and nutrients, but just soft enough they were easy to eat. I have to say it was worth the $24-$27 for my dish. Everything was melt in your mouth delicious. I am a very good cook and a very tough critique . I judge every bite, going down the list of things it must deliver to get a good review. I must say I was completely impressed with the food and atmosphere. I am glad we were taking my friend out that evening and I’m glad we wanted to impress him because otherwise we wouldn’t of...
Read moreMy sister and I went during lunch, we had limited time since we were taking a class near by. We told the hostess that we needed to be served right away. Our waitress, Angela, walked past us, asked the other table what they woukd like to drink, she didn't ask us. We waited awhile, then my sister went looking for her. Angela was fixing her hair into a ponytail right on the dining room floor. So my sister told her we were ready to order and reminded her we had limited time. She finally came to take our order. Food was okay, she never stopped back to check if we needed anything. Once we were finished, we got up to leave but did not have our check. I caught her eye when she was in the next room taking another order. She ignored me and went to the back prep area. I followed, the other girl was on the phone with a customer and she had to tell Angela that we needed our check. This was the worst service either one of us has ever had. She should not be a waitress, extremely rude and...
