Oishii Hibachi & Sushi — Restaurant in Moline

Upon driving up to this place I noticed the outside isn't quite that appealing. When I entered the building, however; I was impressed with the interior design. It looked very different from the outside; it was cozy and had an urban sushi shop look at it. The service was fast and English was okay. I ordered a steak teriyaki and spicy tuna roll sushi combo in a bento box, which contained a lot of food for under ten bucks. I first received a salad and I chose the miso soup. Soup was pretty good and salad was tasty and refreshing. I received a bed of fried rice with my meal, which was high up on my list as far as fried rice goes. The plating was nice with each item having its own compartment on the plate. Plating was good and portions were spot on. The steak came with a delicious sauce and mushrooms. The steak was delightfully juicy and had perfect texture. You could tell the quality of the steak was good. It also came with two yummy pot stickers with a delicious light sauce on the bottom. The sushi was also very good, ingredients were fresh, and I could even see the sushi chef making my sushi from my seat. Wasabi and pickled ginger were provided as usual. The meal also came with two orange slices. I was a bit confused about why I had them but I ate them when i was finished with my meal and not only were they quality delicious oranges, they were also great at refreshing/cleansing after eating all that food. Overall, food was great, staff was friendly, and restaurant was clean and well kept (on the inside.) I think this place has great potential to be very popular but many people are quick to judge off of appearance as was I. Would recommend...

I hate to give 1 star because I normally rave about this place and recommend my friends and family to come here, but here we are. Today I ordered a good amount of sushi for a going away party at work. When I called and told them I THINK I am missing some sushi they told me I was wrong and I should check the bags. When I told them I had everything out of the bags and I still didn't find the extra sushi they were talking about they continued to argue with me about it. They put me on the phone with someone who was very pushy and angry. She made me text her personal number of a picture of the sushi I received. I sent the picture and they called me back from the restaurant and she said she didn't receive it. I finally told her it wasn't worth arguing over and hung up. So if Hongchai Weng reads this review I will post the picture here to see if you finally see it. If I had made a mistake that's fine, but what they were telling me they gave me and what I was telling them what I received was not the same.

I will probably never come back to this establishment because of the unprofessionalism, which is unfortunate because their food is good. There is multiple other great sushi places in town I will recommend to others. What makes it worse, the people at the going away work party witnessed what had all transpired and they will not be coming to...

WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED !!!!!!!!!! Betty Wang , a worker at this establishment is rude and the most unprofessional worker I’ve ever met. I will never give this place my business again. The food is mediocre and not worth the treatment you receive when you come to their business. Can’t even put into words how disgusted I am at how they treat customers and driver.

Coming back to edit post after reading all the reviews . This lady has a habit of being rude to customers and giving out wrong food with no fixes or refunds. I highly suggest supporting other family businesses, this lady does not deserve any support for her overpriced average food and horribly rude customer service. Will be reporting to the BBB as they need to wear hair nets and not get hair in their customers food and the store is NASTY. Needs to be shut down for a deep clean IMMEDIATELY or closed altogether.
