Village Inn — Restaurant in Moline

Twice now when there has been a waiting list I have been skipped over. They have Sat over 5 parties while we Sat invisible. This is unacceptable. I gave them a second chance and it has happened again. My business is not appreciated here. Of course, after complaining, everyone was warned we were angry and that they needed to be very attentive to us. The waitress was very nice and seemed about as Fed up with the place as we were. We were offered drinks right away and they took our order fairly quickly. I asked that my sandwich not be toasted and asked for it without onions. Someone other than our waitress brought it out and sure enough my sandwich had onions. Our waitress saw me removing them and went to tell the manager who ended up giving us my meal for free, as well as our drinks, and offered us free pie. The manager apologized and admitted they were not doing a good job serving us. I feel like the flow of the restaurant is off, and even though everyone tries to help each other, it resulted in us being crossed off the waiting list the first time and not being sat, and being skipped over the second time. I’ve been there twice in the past month. Service was not good either time and was different server each time. Getting drinks was hard and we were treated as and inconvenience.... watched about four other tables get drinks before us. they gave us our check twice witch made me feel rushed like they wanted us to pay and leave soon or something. Not how I want my weekly family outing to go. Probably won’t be back.

Editing to add I did go back...it was horrible. Waitresses were nice but slow, forgetful, and didn't seem to care. It was mid morning and 5 tables total most already had food and were on their way out and about 3groups joined after we were seated...so not busy.. We were greeted and sat right away. The. 10minutes until a waitresses came. 35more minutes before drinks came. Our food actually came before drinks. We had to ask for our drinks. We never received the orange juice at the table. I had to get one to go because they didn't wanna take the time to figure out removing it. Everything was watered down. So food quality is low. Syrup, coffee, handsanatizer, and gravy...all watery. Worst village inn ever and I for sure will not go back.i am giving one star because it is...

For the atmosphere, it was alright, not too fancy but not too let down at all, very warming environment

The service as not alright at all, waitresses did not wear gloves, found hair on my plate, and still food residue on the silverware, and some saliva as well, they were very snotty and gave off a bad tone towards us

The food was God awful, the fries were unseasoned, and so soggy, wet as well, my burger was dry as a damn bone and the meat tasted like the grill wasn't cleaned in over a week, the buns at the bottom were so soaked with sauce and tomato juice to the point where it will just fall off, and the lemonade I ordered was way too sour, now I'm home in the bathroom and I feel as if I just gotten sick.

Overall rating, I'd give this a 0/5 if Google allowed that.

So I went to the bathroom right after dinner, I started to instantly gag and Diarrhea into the toilet, 2 days later here I am fixing up typing errors in my review and giving an update, I have not felt good at all...
