Although convenient to go to, we've been less than impressed but have gone back hoping for improvement. Usually the biggest complaint is that the restaurant is too cold. Our latest visit was the "topper", and we will not go back.. Walked in around 8pm on a Saturday night-not crowded-asked for a booth. Guy at the door asks if we can wait while he clears one. He goes to the booth, stacks up the dirty dishes, and brings them back to the host stand, and puts them on the floor AT THE HOST STAND. In the meantime, another party of 2 had come in. And they ask for a booth. He grabs menus and leads them to yet ANOTHER booth, which was obviously clean and ready to go from when we first got there-so why did we have to wait, if you already had a clean booth? Waitress comes by to bring drinks-asks if I want lemon in my water..yes, please. Brings back drinks-I asked for lemon, yes, but not the equivalent of a WHOLE lemon. No less than 6 wedges of lemon filled the glass. I might as well have ordered lemonade! And tells us that it's been very busy (with maybe 12 of 30/40 tables occupied is busy and at most any of the tables had were 4 people, but most were 2 people is busy??) so the kitchen is somewhat backed up. Of the tables I could see from where we sat, I could see about 5 of the other tables-and every one of them was eating their meals. So if the others were waiting for theirs, that means that 7 tables waiting makes for a "backed up kitchen"? We finally decide to order an appetizer sampler, and the waitress gives us an attitude that we're bothering her, because "oh, you could have done that yourself" on the little "ipad on a stand" thing on the table. Um, sorry to trouble you from doing your job. Food comes, and another waitress comes by and proceeds to top off my husbands cola with iced tea without even realizing we're trying to tell her, no-it was cola. She leaves (still not comprehending the iced tea/cola thing) and then a 3rd waitress comes by to deliver our food, and we explain it-she brings back not just a new cola, but yet an iced tea as well--"I forgot whether it was iced tea or cola, so I brought both" (in the time it took to walk to the drink station, you forgot??) and leaves. In the meantime, we've started picking at the sampler... the mozzarella sticks (and the accompanying marinara) are, lets say, chilly-the marinara was downright cold as if it had just been poured from a jar in the fridge, and the cheese in the mozzarella sticks were like slabs of cheese cut in a deli wrapped in slightly warm toasted breadcrumbs. The buffalo chicken bites had more heat coming from the sauce than from the chicken, and were borderline overfried/burnt. The quesadilla wasn't much better, and the salsa was actually another marinara sauce. The celery sticks had a brownish tinge to them as if they were on their way round the bend. We had no further interaction with the staff after that-the last server that came by was the one who brought both a cola and and iced tea. No one came by after that to inquire about our meal or refill our drinks, etc. We used the kiosky thing to pay, and left..it wasn't worth the hassle of waiting for waitstaff to come by. Oh, and the dishes on the floor by the host stand that were put there when we first came in by the guy cleaning a booth for us? Um...they were still there on our way out...might want to check and see if they STILL are... Sadly, other than fast food (McD's, Chick Fil A, Bojangles), there aren't many choices for things similar to Applebees in Moncks Corner without driving to Summerville or down to North Charleston, but we will make the drive...and avoid...
Read moreTerrible service. Wasnt brought a meal and when telling the waitress she just looked confused. Took over an hour to get our appetizer that we ordered after ordering drinks when we first sat down. All 4 of us ordered tea and the tea that we got was sour and definitely has been sitting longer then it should of been. My girlfriends steak was extremely overcooked. Her moms shimp alfredo, the shimp wasnt cooked all the way, ended up talking to the manager and getting the meal taken off and its sad that even the manager didnt even seemed surprised when we talked to her. Mines and my kids food were brought out last and we had the 2 quickest meals to make mac and cheese and fries for the baby and chicken tenders and fries for myself, which was forgotten and had to ask for. Then 2 of us asked for sauces when we ordered and were never brought out had to ask the waitress for the sauce. Our waitress seemed like it was her first day on the job but was running 4 tables that we could tell, so definitely wasnt her first day, but you could watch the manager and other employeess run her food out to tables. The last 30 minutes here of our 2 and a half hour quick dinner all you could smell was something burning in the restaurant.
Will not ever be coming back to this location. When looking at the ceiling in the restaurant you can tell there has been water damage in the roof and what looks like mold starting, which should of been the first sign and to leave
Would not recommend to anyone to come here or order food here for togo at this point. Sadly cant leave a 0 star review, other...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO.stars, I would!! I was here Saturday night 12/7 after the Christmas Parade. When we got there the hostess/manager told us it would be a few minutes. Cool, no problem. She even came back and kept us updated. Once we got to our seat, and got our orders placed after repeating it 2 times because the server seemed confused and even told one of the memebers in our group that her meal wasn't on the menu she had to show him, the first plate of food didn't come out until at least an hour later. The server never kept us informed, we only got updates when we asked about it, and then he kept telling us " it will be ready in about 3 minutes ". Twenty minutes later still no food. He kept blaming it on the restaurant being so packed, but they were really not all that busy. We didn't get to eat as a family because he brought out one plate and then 5-10 minutes later another plate until all the plates were served.. This was my first time here and definitely the last time, and it didn't help that it was FREEZING in there. My husband asked one.if the workers and he said for the ac wasn't on, but neither was the heat. We had to sit there with our.heavy jackets on and one waitress was working with hers on. I will say that the brown hair hostess/ manager worked her butt off! I know while we were waiting on our food we talked to her for a minute and she said she was already 12 minutes late getting out of there, yet she was STILL there when we left! That young lady deserves a raise!!! Two different tables canceled their orders and left because the...
