Waffle House — Restaurant in Moncks Corner

To the owner of this location, you need to get it under control. I love Waffle House, and your location is by far and away and consistently the nastiest worst Waffle House I have ever been to in 40 years. The environment is hostile, unwelcoming dirty, and nasty. The service is terrible. I switched over to doing pick up in the morning, and I will even give them additional time to have my order ready. When I arrive at the location, it's the same every time..... your employees hanging out chatting not working, and when you come in to pick up your order 4 out of the last five times, they didn't even start making it until I arrived at the location. I know it doesn't mean anything to them because it's not their life, but some of us have to catch transportation to commute for work or school. The whole purpose of me doing a pickup order and I'm sure a lot of people as well is because of time management and understanding that hey I would like to eat breakfast and also make it to work on time. You think when you order online, you can run and pick your stuff up and go. That has never been the case at this location - I spent about 30 to $40 here every time I order and I never complain about Waffle House to go prices being higher, so to give your location money so often and your employees (trying to tip them well regardless of their service)? Never again, especially not after they made us miss our transportation to campus this morning. They made my son wait around so they could turn around and just give him raw food. The food was not even cooked. That was the real cherry on top of a totally avoidable screwing up of all our day.

Stopped by for a meal on Sunday afternoon atound 5:30 pm. (I hope the owner can review a video from this time.!) There were no customers seated or waiting to be seated at the time.. There were two employees, a cook and a server. And all of the seating was blocked except three booths on the right when you walk in the door. All three booths were dirty, both the benches and the tables. The person who was the server, I suppose, half-heartedly cleaned off one of the tables with a barely damp rag leaving stickiness on the table. The other two booths also had food on the seats. The server, looking annoyed, told me we could sit and I said I don't see a clean table and the booths are dirty also. While waiting for her to clean the table we had been looking at the Cooking Area and it was in disgusting disarray with food crumbs everywhere, both work surface and floor. We changed our mind And left. We had been eating there from time to time for breakfast and it was just ok, but I had not seen it dirty before... it will be hard to consider eating there it from now on. I would be somewhat sympathetic if there was a staffing shortage and they were busy. But there were no customers being served when we arrived and those working there were just standing around. While I was composing this review my husband mentioned that he went to the men's room to wash his hands & the men's room appeared to be locked. A man came out of the women's room and headed towards the door. My husband went inside and said the restroom was disgustingly filthy so he did not even trying to wash his hands there. The service was terrible first went in finally someone say hi we sat down girl came dragging over like she's half dead then she brings us old coffee the cream wouldn't even turn it white tasted old. Asked her to take it back bout thru with meal that she didn't take order right she brought 1 coffee back the I had to ask her what hAppened to the bacon and toast she got a attitude bout that so she said grouchy she needed toast bacon another girl brought it over and said sorry so they continued to clean dishes sweet floor never came back to refill coffee so when we was bout to leave she comes asks us if we needed more coffee at this point the food was not even hot and I was pissed so I told no thank you were leaving the girl acted like she was on something to me there was much going there but a lot of talking and cell phones which I feel they shouldn't be handling cell phones while serving food I bet if the food board found out about that they'd be inspected remember how much germs are on cell phones I don't know but that place.
