Disappointed to say the least. We ordered what was on the menu as a âChicago style pizzaâ. When it arrived it was nothing more than a regular pizza. When I asked the server about it she replied that they only have âpanâ pizza. I wouldnât consider it that either. She almost seemed like âOh, well ⊠too badâ and then asked if we wanted a box for the rest of it. No offer to make anything right. I thought it was very unprofessional. When I mentioned the incident to the owner she wasnât any more helpful. She started off by reading that portion of the menu to me and when I stopped her by telling her âI can readâ she began making excuses for the server -âWeâll, sheâs a high schooler and thatâs what you can expect.â Excuse me?! What I can expect is for the owner to care enough about the customers who are keeping their business afloat to take it a little more seriously. She did offer to remake something or give us a credit since my husband had already paid the bill but at that point I was just ready to be done with the place. We wonât be returning or recommending Alfanoâs to anyone but will share our experience if anyone asks...
Read moreWe ordered a pizza tonight at 6:11. An hour and a half later I called about it to cancel the order. I was told that the delivery driver had it and they had no way to let him know that. ( Really? Who doesn't have a cell phone these days?) I said I would wait ten more minutes and if it wasn't delivered then I was going to refuse my order. Then I hear in the background a man say If he wants to cancel then tell the driver to leave when he gets there. We waited 15 minutes for a total of one hour and 45 minutes and still no pizza. So we go to McDonald's. Two hours and twenty minutes later we get a call from the delivery driver saying that he has our food. ( The delivery driver called us from his cell phone? But Alfano's said that they had no way to let him know that we wanted to cancel our order?) The won't be getting any more...
