Dettore's Pizza — Restaurant in Monongahela

Dettore's has some of the best pizza and THE worst service in the valley. I ordered a pizza, was quoted 40 minutes, and arrived at the store 5 minutes late. The crew at Dettore's had not even started my pizza. I heard them talking amoungst themselves regarding the lost order, but nothing was said to me directly. They explained in hushed tones to the OWNER who was standing right what had happened. For the next 20 minutes I was ignored until the pizza was made, baked, and finished. I didn't leave because I had family in from out of town to help pack up my recently deceased grandmother's home, that were starving.

I gave Dettore's 2 stars because they're food is good, but their service is the absolute worst. The owner is COMPLETELY aware how they treat their customers and not only condones it but colludes with the employees.

This has become my absolute favorite pizza shop! I eat it more often than I probably should but it's fantastic! The thick crust is where it's at! I've never had a wait time over 25 minutes which is perfect. We call and by the time we get in the car and get there it's ready. There only 2 things I can think of that someone may not like... I don't think they deliver but I'd rather go it anyway. And my only actual complaint is the cheese. It seems it doesn't get very evenly distributed. It's thick in the middle and very sparse near the crust sometimes. But again I absolutely love this place and if you live in the Monongahela area and haven't eaten here yet, do yourself a favor and get an XL thick crust...

I moved to Monongahela, PA with my wife this past June, as we were just married and we love Dettore’s! I grew up in Richeyville, PA so I had never tried this pizza until this past spring, and let me say it is the BEST pizza in the Mon Valley! I love supporting local businesses and I’ll always be happy to support Dettore’s. The people are always so friendly and happy to take your order and they always open up the pizza in front of you before you take your order home to make sure they got your order right.
